Why dont you guys sign the offer sheet to fight CANELO? He keeps telling everyone that Canelo is who they want...but wont put his name on paper for the fight....But he will sign to fight Welterweights and cab drivers, but not Canelo. I bet they cant get him anywhere near a desk with a contract and pen, he avoid it like Ward was sitting at that desk.

I hope this gets made. I would rather see this fight than canelo. I think it would be a brutal war.

          Canelo is 26 years old.

          Golovkin is 34 years old.

The days when Golovkin was taking short money for the sake of future opportunities are long gone. He is the universal 'man' at middleweight.

Canelo fight might be the only super fight left for Golovkin in his career. If GGG KOs Canelo in style, what other money making fight will that bring? So it's not like GGG could write down short money as investment on this one.

Add to that the fact that Canelo does not have any super fight foes around either, and it's clear that these two are holding each other hostage. And with Canelo having a longer career ahead of him, it makes more sense for Canelo to budge than it does for Golovkin.

GGG team has a reputation of being fair in negotiations. Also, Golovkin has stated a few times that he is not in boxing for the money - paradoxically, this means he won't accept low-ball offer as he would feel disrespected, even if it makes economic sense.

All in all, I think the fight happens if GGG is paid 30-35% of the purse. And I think Canelo team will go for it.

yea, Eubank will be VERY high on their list

somewhat of a name, and his style is " available "

            perfect

not the worst fight they could make, if no Canelo

$15 mil is more than fair. Canelo already made concessions to fight Mayweather and Cotto. Why should he do it for Golovkin who isn't half the draw Canelo is? Canelo has paid his dues and shouldn't give in to the diva Golovkin.

no..... " it makes more sense for Canelo to budge " IF you are Golovkin

Canelo will either wait for Golovkin to get old, or he will pass

                pretty sure they know that

10mil is a good, to possibly even very good, offer

but if that 15mil rumor is correct, then they walked away from a very good, to possibly even excellent, offer

they will never hear the end of it if they let that fight slip away

Canelo/Cotto didn't even make that much fighting Mayweather.

Not sure why GBP prefer to do things that way, I guess they want full control of the promotion..... but that offer is certainly no low-ball.

way better fighters have taken way less

Sept 17th doe, at the earliest, whether GGG signs anything right now or not. The offer has already gone up by $5million in 3 months! At this rate it's going to be 60/40 in GGG's favour come Sept.

Canelo should have offered him $10 and 160 last Sept, instead of vacating and running. We could have been talking about a rematch now.

Weight hopping, cherry picking, PED abusing divas have ruined this once noble and honourable sport.
