Clear enough or shall I say it slower?
But none of this relates to your original post "not even close" to peak is what you said. Hearns must have the greatest peak in history if he can be so far away from it, in YOUR opinion and still be prime (remember a prime is a period of years when someone is at their best, peak is when they are at their very best at a given time during that prime).

But lets forget all that and concentrate and what you claim to be saying now: you're saying he was not at his optimal condition (very different from your original argument with dj which I read) due to weight.

That's an even more ridiculous statement considering Hearns would be world champion at light heavyweight lol And at no point did he lose the fight due to weight issues, he lost the fight because he threw the game plan out the window and went to war with a fighter who had a better chin. Hearns' own chin couldnt take the punch. Same way it couldn't at welter against Leonard. Are we now going to say because he got KOd at 147 that wasnt a good weight for him?

You really talk yourself into ridiculous corners.

Prime, ATG-level (or even A, for that matter) talent on his resume. That is what he could've done.
      End thread.
Problem is, there is a chunk of posters on here who want to argue that, when even his biggest cheerleaders in the media admit to this.

Mate it's very simple, I am literally telling you in plain black and white what I am saying.

Hearns wasn't close to his peak at 160 lbs. That is what I said. No more no less.

I didn't say anything different to that. If I did, quote it.

I know you struggle with these things so if you need any more help then let me know.

        • anyway, rustydan is a mental midget.

Back to the topic at hand.

Mayweather had every opportunity to have fought numerous top level fighters at their best and missed out on ALL of them. Only one was not his fault and that's Oscar. His best opponents (in terms of the state of their careers at the time of fighting) are Castillo and Corrales. That pales in comparison to Pac, Leonard, Hearn, Hagler, Jones etc etc etc

            • Imo,
He should've fought Paul Williams, Winky Wright, Sergio Martinez, Antonio Margarito and 2008 version Cotto, 2009 version Pacquiao.
