If you cannot see that Ward always wants everything slanted his own way, then you need new eyes. Yes, he has absolutely stated he wants the lions share of the purse, just like he got more in the first fight. He'll get judges he wants, just liken first fight, and so on. The guy is a massive fraud who is great at spoiling, he lost the first fight - but was gifted the other mans belts by virtue of potshotting a few body shots and hugging like some clamped on needy girlfriend. I doubt he will ever fight again, but my hope is that Kov gives him everything he asks for and then knocks the **** out of him. Then he can disappear- he's bad for the sport.

Absolutely stated? Boxing Logic says he hinted. Which one is it? At least he posted a video link. ^^^^ The key. So for Ward it's either rematch or retirement. The rematch clause precludes Ward from taking any other fightersComment

He think's Kov won 9 rounds. Hmm sound's deluded to me.
So he had it 117/111 no wonder he's pissed.Last edited by stefjonno1; 01-04-2017, 10:04 AM.Comment

Contracts not to work have a time limit on them, or they could be ruled unenforceable. I believe Mayweather "retired" for exactly a year to avoid giving Dela Hoya a contractual rematch.
If you only fight twice a year anyway, that's really just a 'one missed fight' punishment. Would not be surprised if that's exactly what happens. Ward demands more from his promoter than he brings to the table. Will see if Roc Nation continues to want to get the short end.Comment

Ball has been in Ward's court since his gift win but he is very silent. He doesn't want to rematch. He wants some other defense or will retire.Comment

Oh yeah. You are right. That might actually happen, as Ward has said he wants to be a HW and this might be the time to do it. We know Ward doesn't like to give rematches anyway.Originally posted by millcitymaulerOr just vacate the belt, much like many other fighters have done. Don't be so dramatic.Comment
