Should he retire or should he fight someone worthy?

He is still seen by many as a top 4 ww and a top 10 p4p fighter. If he truly is then its fair he be held to the same standard we would any other boxer in this position. right?

No you don't get it. Pacquiao has no control of his career. He is the "Yes Boss" Kind of guy who doesn't know how to run his own thing. After Pac wants to fight crawford BUT for 20 million, Bob Arum replies "Hell The **** no." And offers Manny this, and we will wait out if Manny says "Yes boss" again or man up.

This is your problem, you act like manny has the absolute authority with his career, when truly it was Arum who pulled the strings.

I'm sure Arum would prefer Pacquiao getting his ass kicked by Crawford before Pacquiao retires. This one's all on Pacquiao.

Regarding what Arum said, everyone knows that's a lie. EVERYONE.
i disagree. if he's gonna stay around, he needs to fight the best. this way, he'll know if he still have it or not. it's better to lose to a future star and then retired, than to stick around and lose to lesser names and then retired.

Though as much as I dislike Arum he did built Pac's legacy for a bit in the welterweight run facing strong champions like Clttey, MArgo, Cotto etc.
this gets brought up so many times.

honestly, i believe manny just doesnt care about being his own boss. having arum pick the fights, date, time, location, etc. and all manny have to do is train then show up on fight night and get paid is easier to him.

do you guys honestly think he doesnt have control of his own career? how ridiculous does that sound. pac is playing the innocent, nice calm and humble role. this is one of the reasons why he is loved by so many, because he doesnt come off like a prick with a big ego.

he is looked at like a soft happy non violent person thats why everyone loves him even models. they like him not because he's good looking, etc. they like him because they see him as a nice, always willing to help type of person because of how manny comes off.

when you look at guys like floyd who likes to bring up the fact that he's his own boss, he does what he wants, etc. people hate to hear stuff like that. it comes off as being rude.

Well my preference is for retirement. Fighting Jeff Horn is worse than retirement because it's an opponent that Manny will win against easily in a fight that probably won't be exciting to watch.

If he doesn't retire he should fight someone good enough for us to have a tough time deciding who will win... or someone with a credible resume at least.

Not promoting his own fights by what I mean as being his own boss. Just making himself have control in the match making, just have some balls to say "Hey bob, I want crawford for 20 million, if there is none then don't bring me a bum, or atleast give me Kell Brook."

Pacquiao always had the excuse of "Arum won't let him fight a fighter from a rival promoter", he doesn't have that excuse this time.

It's hard to follow when Arum's comments should be treated seriously and when they should be dismissed as lies. Remarkable how easily some people on here flip-flop from one position to the other.
