Regarding what Arum said, everyone knows that's a lie. EVERYONE.
Just like in any other sport, no excuses when you're on the court/field. If he can still fight, and he wants to still fight, then lions is what he should fight, young, prime, or old.

I hate how people want to give fighters passes because they made it and/or are on the tail end of their career. Soft touches my anus. Guys like Achillies, Hercules, Ragnar Lothbrook, William Wallace, Attila the Hun, never took "soft touches". Why should Floyd, Pacquiao, or Golovkin? SMH.

"Passes"? That's part of what's wrong with the sport. Fans are only interested in champs or guys fighting champs. There's room for everyone. Prime or near prime champs not fighting top comp is a real problem. But, who are you to say a legend like Pac can't keep going because he loves the sport? He's paid his dues and owes nothing. If he wants to fight at a local club, good for him. He's earned it.

I agree, but let's not act like Pac is just going to get mauled by anyone really younger or competitive, he isn't 50 ffs he's in his 30s, the man will be fine against any opponent. He earned the right to fight who he wants but lets not say he's fighting a journeyman because he can't handle better, he's doing it because he earned the right to fight who he wants on the way out.

I agree 100%. If Pac still wants to fight, he should continue striving to be the top dog. If he wants to beat up mediocre opposition then he should just spare us those pointless fights and retire.

I think he's still one of the best fighters at welterweight so why should he fight low level opponents?

Yea, he's still plenty capable and it's interesting to think of just how far he can still take it. If he were to camp out on the belt and fight low level guys for years, I'd be pretty vocal about that. If he's going what May did when he fought Berto, I'd give him the same pass I gave Mayweather, based on those things we already talked about.

Manny/Bob are choosing Horn. Once again Manny is choosing the easier opponent. Just like I posted.

This also dispels the notion that Crawford's 140 or else was the reason the fight didn't get made.
