they had been waiting to fight stevenson but while they were waiting they signed a long term contract with hbo. cancelling the purse bid just saved everyone time since they knew they couldnt win it. the purse bid was 50-50 and they continued to offer stevenson 50-50 after the bid was cancelled so im not sure why you are pretending like they didnt want to fight.
