Bob Arum: “Orlando Salido chickened out on the Lomachenko rematch"

What Salido requested is what he got, then he decided not to take the fight. Arum is quoted saying exactly that.
whatever his demands were, we met those financial demandsComment

Gibbons said literally nothing to dissuade that idea. No longer about money, now they're afraid Loma will fight negative which is both ironic coming from Salido and also unlikely seeing as how Loma doesn't run around. They're not at all interested in facing Loma again, put this fight to rest, it's evident now.Comment

I do, why don't you? Even Gibbons didn't contradict what Arum said. Nothing that came out of Salido's camp mentioned financial demands not being met.
We had good talks with Bob. I thought we had come to some kind of an agreement. It just didn’t seem to work.Comment

Siri either tests Arums or just doesn't want to be clowned. In any case, personally I don't want to watch this rematch, it doesn't make a sense to me. Bob is right in one thing – first fight was a fluke, nothing more. AFAIK Siri earned something like 50K for Vargas, while both Rocky and Walters got much more for Loma's fight.Comment

They could both be lying for all we know, and knowing boxing that's the most likely scenario. But Salido being afraid of taking a loss isn't really believable.Comment

Ducklido fought in their prime with all the lions: Juan Manuel Marquez, Mikey Garcia, Yuriorkia Gamboa, Juan Ma Lopez x 2, Lomachenko, Robert Guerrero(when he was good in 130-135) and Francisco Vargas.
He is just playing with Bob and Loma.
He is old and he knows he can fight with Lomachenko anytime after a fight with Vargas.Comment
