ronda doesnt need roach or any other big name trainer. she's not a boxer and is not trying to get into boxing. she just need to work on her stand up a bit and she'll be straight. yall putting too much thinking on this whole ronda needs to get with a great boxing trainer.

Dont compare Carano with Rousey. Carano has always been beautiful. Rousey isn't.

The ¨pretty¨ SNL version of Rousey is a product of make-up artists, hair dressers and airbrush graphical artists

Anyone with good vision can see through the disguise, the fat cow is ugly (homely looking at best), and unfeminine as ****

She'd be like the third ugliest chick I've ever ****ed

Shift to the right lane then enter the mall. If you find yourself on Santa Monica Boulevard, you just missed it. Take a U-turn somewhere than go back.

Easy trip. What do you think?
            nope

            ronda needs defense

Roach is a an offensive coach, who teaches good offensive techniques but lacks defensive prowess.hell he cant even teach elite boxers how to cut off the ring and apply effective pressure

Ronda needs more than Roach, she needs prayer and a miracle.

Not so much with great head movement, and shoulder-roll, staying in the pocket picking shots, etc.

But the style of striking utilized in MMA, that type of defensive posturing isn't effective due to kicks, and grappling. You want to be constantly on the move/shifting/pivoting - which IS what Roach teaches. He's great at setting up the 2-3 off the pivot.

I think Roach's striking would definitely be levels above what she has been taught thus far.

He improved GSP's striking by at least a level. Eventually, though, MMA evolved past the GSP/Silva era. Where there started emerged people who were black belts in BJJ, top-level strikers, and wrestlers/grapplers. Whereas in the GSP run, it was still kinda more one-sided - where each fighter just had one area of strength.

You can only learn so much, and become so good at boxing unless you start a really young age. Even guys like Sergio Martinez, who started late, was never that great of a technical boxer - he just had great food speed - he had no real defense on the inside - he could just dictate the distance with his food speed/dexterity. Once his knees got older, he showed he had no head movement/upper body movement.
              To add to your points

In my podcast recap of the fight I recommended roach as her striking coach because he is offensive minded and she is also offensive minded. The belief is sometimes a good offense can be your defense (some times)..

I also believe striking is becoming the #1 asset in the UFC again. I would argue some of the best fighters have a striking advantage. Connor, TJ, Cody, US Cowboy etc.

again MMA striking is different from boxing and boxing defense is not applicable to MMA as you will get kicked in your lead leg or have your arm broken from a kick if you are in the high guard stance..

roach can teach anyone how to throw hands but the thing is if you're as old as Ronda your arms already have muscle memory of how you throw punches and it would take a lot of discipline and practice to change that.

She will always be horrible at stand-up offensively. She needs to focus totally on avoiding damage in that situation, while also learning how to shoot in and get her opponent off their feet preferably with single and double leg take downs.

She should never throw a punch or kick in anger except as a total last resort, and should probably knee or elbow instead of throwing a regular kick or punch.

So no Roach would only make her worse because she would be training to throw punches not avoid them, to get her opponent on the ground where she needs them to be effective.

That is all theoretical though because I don't think she could accomplish that if she had the greatest stand-up defensive and wrestling coach in history. Because you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.

Roach can definitely shave Rousey but the real question is, does Rousey want to be shaved?

I honestly haven't seen less headmovement since I was in NY and saw the statue of liberty. Very surprised at all her movement. She was like hopping in the air too. Everything looked super weird and she lost before the bell rang I believe.
