That seems fair. He is the Legendary Senator WBO champion. He has an extremely hard schedule. No fighter other than manny can run such an insane schedule and continue to win. He is an international super star, he is NOT a ronda rousey. He is proven and has done soo much. ANYONE who cant agree with that is HATER to the core. He deserves the 20 mil, but it WONT sell. its pretty hard to understand how AMERICAN FIGHTERS cant sell PPVs in their own lands like Tbud and Ward. To prepare for such a elite fighter as they say Tbud is, he is going to need all the time and focus to prepare thoroughly to be firing on all cylinders. IF many does beat him, in an amazing fashion, it only solidifies his career and could move him back to the #1 p4p ranking because he just conquered an undefeated champion whos regarded pretty high on that scale. Give him the money or go home. Hes too big of a risk and little reward on the ppv side.

Smart move by Manny, get the most money you can because this will be your retirement fight. Think of what? That arguably one of the best known athletes in sports has a figure he commands per fight? What's to wonder about that? This is what he's accustomed to getting paid, should he not get what he feels entitled to considering the hundreds of millions he's earned for both HBO and Top Rank?

Fans can complain all they want, but really there isn't anything wrong with Pac's demands. He's made 20 mil in many of his fights... this is nothing new. And Crawford is the name most fans want Pac in the ring with. And if he only wants April, let him have it. Ask Joe Smith Jr how easy it is to juggle boxing with a full time job.

Pacquiao has made 20 million dollar guarantees before so why would he not ask for one in one of the most asked for fights in the sport.

On top of all that, it's likely TC only wants the fight at 140 so Pac will be giving into weight demands, as well as an American venue...you know, the home of TC not Pacman. If you're going to concede all that, at least you should have some leeway when it comes to the money.

Personally I think the fight is a bust and such a guarantee is impossible.

Just want to add, Pacquiao is 2 fights removed from the biggest PPV of all time and one fight removed from a 20 mill guarantee against Bradley. So again, why should he not ask for a guarantee in a ifght of this magnitude...for hardcore boxing fans anyway.

Which is where the problem lays. As much as Pac is within his rights to ask for such a guarantee it is unlikely in the modern climate with Pac's star on the wane.
