That seems fair. He is the Legendary Senator WBO champion. He has an extremely hard schedule. No fighter other than manny can run such an insane schedule and continue to win. He is an international super star, he is NOT a ronda rousey. He is proven and has done soo much. ANYONE who cant agree with that is HATER to the core. He deserves the 20 mil, but it WONT sell. its pretty hard to understand how AMERICAN FIGHTERS cant sell PPVs in their own lands like Tbud and Ward. To prepare for such a elite fighter as they say Tbud is, he is going to need all the time and focus to prepare thoroughly to be firing on all cylinders. IF many does beat him, in an amazing fashion, it only solidifies his career and could move him back to the #1 p4p ranking because he just conquered an undefeated champion whos regarded pretty high on that scale. Give him the money or go home. Hes too big of a risk and little reward on the ppv side.

You just countered your own claim of "That's fair" by saying Pacman's fight WILL NOT sell.
It does not matter who Pac fights and beats, in the end the business side of it dictates that he is just NOT worth $20M.
With the exception of the Floyd fight, every fight that Pac has been in since Brandon Rios has averaged less than 400K so Pacman is literally worth ****-ake.

Also, how the hell does Pac fighting Crawford solidify him as a #1 P4P when he's been fighting BUMS (Rios, Algieri, Vargas etc) the last three years with the exception of Floyd???

Ridiculous. Outside the fight with Floyd it's been years since Manny had a ppv that was successful. Bradley, vargas, rios, algeri all have struggled in ppv buys. The days of 20mil guarantees are over. If he continues fighting it will be a discount, top rank won't pay him and risk losing millions out there pocket. And Crawford just bombed in his fight with postol so Manny just pricing himself out of the fight by asking an amount nobody can pay for a Crawford fight.

Pacquiao has payed his dues, so it's not out of reality that he asks for a lot of guaranteed money, the problem here is that I don't think Pacquiao can make that much money unless he fights Floyd or Canelo.

So unless Arum is willing to pay money from his own pocket to pass the torch to his new star, then, I don't see the fight happening at all with that request.

He'd lose, and Roach knows it, you can see it in his interviews. If Pac is gonna lose he wants to get paid for it. he's giving his name and a lot of popularity to Crawford and wants a fee for that. No shame in that. It's a very tough fight, i'm not against Pacquiao playing hard to get for this fighwt. TC is a stylistic nightmare and isn't a big name yet. $20 mill is too much but he's starting high as a negotiating tactic.

Come on arum give pac a payday what he usually have in every fight. But i guess arum will not let his future cash cow be ruined. Even if pac will ask for half of that money arum will never make this fight.

It's pure economics if it were 5 years ago and Manny was still doing 1m ppv buys then he could command 20m. But he just did less then 300k and has fallen so far that even HBO told him no and refused to air his last fight. He doesn't have the clout with the networks and damn sure not with top rank anymore. He's old, not the draw he once was, still has the anti gay controversy hanging over him, and has unrealistic purse demands.

At 20m he would need 600k ppv buys just for a promoter to make a profit and he hasn't cracked that in damn near half a decade without floyd. And nobody thinks Crawford is a big enough name to help him do that. And Crawford is going to want 2 or 3x his career payday as well. The money Manny wants simply doesn't exist. He will take half this amount to fight someone else that's not as high a risk and keep begging for a floyd rematch to cash out.
