Everyone who understands boxing and is unbiased knows Ward was the one who wanted to hug and wrestle because it was the only way to avoid a knockdown - Kovalev was picking him apart at distance. Ward throws a punch and wrestle and thats why referee didnt intervene much because it benefited Ward more than Kovalev. This way Ward was able to steal a few rounds but please stop saying that he won the fight.

straight up schooling from Ward from round 6 onwards.

Stop fcking crying and deal with it.

Kovalev did himself no fcking favor by stepping off the gas and fighting like a child.
Most pundits had Kovalev winning round 10. Kovalev did step off the gas. Fight like a child? I don't think so. He had to wrestle like a bear. Ward threw a punch and leapt in and grabbed. Kovalev grabbed hold of him. Result - wrestling. The ref was useless.

Regardless of result Sanchez is right about one thing - Ward has an ugly style that wins boxing few new fans. Not saying he is unskilled. He is very skilled.

Everyone except the 3 judges, right? Kovalev was the one who kept tying up Ward and clinching, because he can't fight on the inside. Then him and his team have the nerve to cry about the Ward clinching. G_T_F_O_H!

kinda ironic considering abel said he had no issue with the decision at all and that ward did enough to earn a decision that it could gone either way. this is why its hard to take abel serious he contradicts himself constantly

Problem is, it was Kovalev that initiated mostof the clinches. His gameplan was to tie Ward up everytime Andre got inside. It was a smart gameplan because Ward is a better inside fighter. Just like in all big fights with well known fighters facing off. All the clinching Kovalev did probably cost him the fight. Because it gave the impression that Ward was controlling the fight. Because of course all the clinching gave the impression that it was a "Ward fight."

BTW, Kovalev didn't pick Ward apart from a distance. I was shocked that Kovalev wasn't outclassed from a distance. And he was able to hold his own from a distance. But to say either guy picked the other apart is ridiculous. Neither guy did very much to seperate himself from the other. Which is why it was a very close fight that could have gone either way.

Now he's say that Kovalev won?

Abel Sanchez is such a flip flopper.

                      Fair enough.

I thought Ward was spot on though. There are many current trainers with over 10 years of experience at the top level and they're not being interviewed as often.
