    what nonsense

    the (****ty) WBA existed long before the (****ty) WBC

    the WBA only started that multi-title crap a short while back

    so, you are talking crap.....

    it is far more accurate to say that they are ALL badly flawed..... that NONE are definitive..... so therefore NONE of those asshat's should/could possibly be ranked above the other

    that is the very definition of a turd-polishing contest

    FACT: the WBC is badly flawed, and CLEARLY corrupt..... so you did a dumb thing when you recommended them to us

      I know you are a troll, so I don't take anything you say seriously, but I don't want others to be misled by your posts. So I hope you don't mind me correcting your inaccuracies.

      No, the WBA did not exist "long before" the WBC. They were created months apart. Yes the WBA was born out of the NBA, but the WBC was born out of the EBU, NYSAC and others. So if you're crediting the NBA history, you have to credit the IBU (aka EBU), NYSAC and others as well. And if you go that route, the WBC actually traces back further than the WBA.

      Nobody said the orgs weren't all badly flawed. But nobody can dispute that for years the WBC & WBA were the accepted titles in the sport. My position is that the IBF & WBO should have never been recognized and that the WBA should have lost its recognition when it started crowning three world champions in every division.

        the WBA currently recognize 3 " champions ".....

        you can call them whatever you like LMAO

        the WBA have previously referred to those " champions " as.....
        * super
        * regular
        * interim

        once again..... you, can call them whatever you like

        only one however, can truly be called a champion.... even if only by the WBA themselves..... and anyone with an ounce of common-sense can clearly see that

        so, way to BADLY miss the point

          I read the WBA rankings every month. Do you? Please let us know which month & year had anybody listed as "regular" champion? You won't be able to find it.

          The WBA is eliminating their super titles, not their world titles.

          I'm sorry that you so consistently have your facts wrong.

            Have another try.....

            The World Boxing Association (WBA) is one of four major organizations which sanction world championship boxing bouts, alongside the IBF, WBC and WBO. The WBA awards the WBA world championship title at the professional level. Founded in the United States in 1921 by thirteen state representatives as the National Boxing Association (NBA), in 1962 it changed its name .....

            and btw, ****..... stick that " troll " accusation up your ass

              kid, you can call them whatever you like

              it is possible for the WBA to claim right to 1 "champion"..... but not to 3.....

              champion

                  That would be great, let's see it in action. Boxing has to move forward and improve in a lot of aspect. More than 100 years now and not a lot of fast changes.

                    When you're resorting to unsourced wikipedia entries, you really show your ignorance. The NBA didn't just change its name in 1962. The entire structure was changed to try to create a new world entity.

                    The only problem is that the NBA's proposal was rejected by the BBBofC, EBU, NYSAC, etc, who in response to the NBA's attempt to create a world body joined up and created their own world body.

                    The membership of the NBA & WBA were not the same, nor were the voting structures. To credit the WBA with the NBA's history, you must also credit the WBC with the NYSAC/BBBofC/EBU/IBU/NSC history as well.

                    So no, the WBA did not exist long before the WBC as you claimed. As soon as the WBA was created, there was a revolt and the WBC was immediately created to compete with it.

                      Was talking about this with a promoter the other day. The damage the media has done trying to ignore the sanctioning bodies for decades. I covered HBO & Showtime fights from press row for many years and I understand why so many media members think ignoring the sanctioning bodies is the right approach, but they've taken that approach for nearly 50 years and it hasn't worked.

                      All it's done is made it easier for the orgs to get away with anything they want. So the media needs to take a lot of the blame here. Their job is to cover the news. But they haven't done their job. They've tried to ignore the news in a misguided attempt at social engineering. They should be ashamed of themselves. The orgs have more power than ever and there are more orgs than ever, so clearly the "ignoring" approach was a complete disaster.

                      You have to admit though some of those rankings are so ridiculous that the media and fans can't help but ignore them.
                      Shannon Briggs at number 4 at HW comes to mind.
