When the brexit happened, the money wasn't there. Brook would make nothing so they went back with a revised offer which was refused by Vargas.

That was confirmed by Bob Arum:

Bob Arum talks about how the Kell Brook-Jessie Vargas fight fell apart over Brexit, and how it paved way for Gennady Golovkin-Kell Brook to happen.

So yeah, I don't see why I should sit down.

I'm not sure if you're suggesting Brook ducked Vargas, I hope not. The simple matter is that the money wasn't there for the fight to happen.
Don't lie and say Vargas wanted to much money. You're the one trying to make it seem like Vargas didn't want the fight and priced himself out. Hearn agreed to pay him what he asked and then Brexit happened but that's no excuse because Hearn didn't even attempt to renegotiate with Vargas for a lower purse. Arum found out about the fight like the rest of us, thru the news. If you watch the video from the point i started it you'd see what the real issue was.

Brook wanted more money. Hearn said they would lose money on the Brook-Vargas fight but the Eubank-GGG fight would make enough so he could pay Kell what he wanted for the fight. That's why the GGG-Eubank fight got the Kell-Vargas original date. Hearn had no intention of putting on Kell-Vargas if the Eubank-GGG fight didn't happen. Kell wanted more money and that's why he never signed anything from his side.

i hear what your saying and i dont doubt spence is talented and he could turn out to be the best and brook does not have an all time great resume as we all know sure

his win vs porter was a solid win he had a game plan he executed it well and honestly porter initiated a lot of those clinches IMO either way right now the Khan fight should be next any smart fighter would take that fight can you imagine the domestic following he would add knocking khan out at wembley?

if spence was offered to fight vs khan instead of brook you know damn well he would take it

        i'll wait for that one.

That is the idea of a mandatory, they are mandatory. Like it or not.

Brook keeps ****ing on about honoring maaanditrees so if he drops the belt it is a disgrace as Spence is the only hard mandatory he has ever had. It would be another thing had his past mandatory challengers were not so bad.

You said he fought 2 mandatory challengers he didn't want to. Yes, but he didn't have to fight them straight. There was the option of a voluntary in between where he could've fight someone decent. They knew it was coming and all they could do was Chaves and even then he didn't follow through with it.

Bradley, Alexander, Rios, Vargas, Chaves. It is Jan, 5th, 2017 while I write this, Brook has been a professional for 12 yrs, 37 fights, 36 wins, World Champ for 2 & 1/2 yrs and he has just one good win to talk about. After a certain point you have to stop blaming outside circumstances.

Another Khanturd making yet another excuse as to why the fight shouldn't happen.

When he was mandated last time, he should have just dropped the mandatory according to you lot

            Double standards at its best.

Yes he did. He had to fight Dan and had a short period to fight Bizier - In a time where everyone else were busy.

Chaves was the highest ranked available person, so there's nothing to say to that.

No one can force people into the ring with Brook. Chaves has a legit case because Brook dropped out. Brook faced the guy who handily beat Alexander, so that's out. Rios turned it down as we now know, Bradley wanted 3 options and promotional deal if Brook won - sure  And there was no money for the Vargas fight and Brook chose to fight GGG instead because once again, Khan is too much of a poosay to get in the ring with Brook.

You know Khan is ducking like a biatch because he's scared of Brook and always has been.
