Besides, Golovkin gets away with not fighting bigger guys and just faced a welterweight. So Canelo can get away with it too, especially since he would be making way more money for doing it.

That's just the reality of the situation.
You mean like Khan? OR lopez? Or Cotto? Or Krikland? and you want him to fight Pacman LMFAO dude stfu and just leave. you're not even close to a boxing fan you're just a fanboy.

I didn't say who I wanted him to fight. I said that Canelo doesn't need Golovkin then gave some examples of the many options he has for money fights.

Reading comprehension is a thing. Look into it.

I do think they need each other but Canelo can easily make money and put the fight off to 2018.

Canelo needs a super legit win to really push him into the stratosphere. Canelo is doing just fine and can make a lot of money but beating a guy viewed as a-1 legit will do a lot for him. Every so often in boxing a guy has to get wins like that to really push themselves further and each win like that pushes the limit further and further.

Canelo has been hanging out at the same level for a minute really, and as the old saying goes if you ain't growing you are dying. Canelo does have a lot of time left in the sport but that also means he could grow bigger 3,4,5,6 times depending on how it plays out.

The Golovkin fight for Canelo is not just about that fight it is about how high and far he can actually get in the sport. He is pretty high up but he still has a long way to go to really hit the top echelon of what a fighter can become.

Almost every fighter ggg has fought has had weight on him, especially as of late.
No, he doesn't fight small guys.

Every time Canelo gas won has been against a guy from the division below him. Hatton, Cotto (lets not pretend Canelo wasn't MW), and eve went down to 154 to snag the weakest title he could.

He fought Khan for Christ sakes, who had three bad 147 fights, and is known for getting skunked by 135/140ers.

Talk about Brook all you want, he was not a glass hawed undersized WW. Dude walks around at 180.

Canelo besting a weight drained Chevez, ok. Why is it that guy can't take a tough fight without some kind of physical advantage. He knows that Chevez is gonna be half dead.
