    Who could beat GGG?

Stylistically, who would have the best chance at beating Golovkin?

I think strong footwork is a necessity. You're not going to be able to deal with Golovkin without that. As mentioned, Andrade looks like a good challenge. I think Charlo is right there too.

Ward at 168 was bad news for Golovkin but now that Andre is 2 weight classes above, I don't think it's even fair to make the comparison unless we saw Golovkin go to 168. There's a few 175lbers who would be a problem for Golovkin but, again, that's too big to really make fair comparisons right now.

I don't see anyone beating him honestly in the divisions he can fight at right now.

Just too much of a complete fighter. No weaknesses. Confident. Disciplined.

I am pretty much going to give him the Mayweather treatment of automatically favoring him against every opponent until I have a real reason to do otherwise.

And no, random casuals trying to convince real boxing minds like myself that a few shots landed by opponents here and there as some sort of evidence or weakness isn't going to deter my stance on this.

            1. Ward- I would pick Ward to win, but it would be a rough fight for both guys.
            2. Andrade- Has the skills to beat GGG imo, but can he take the firepower.
            3. DeGale- Has a decent chance, but can he put 12 rounds together.
            4. Canelo- Can certainly give GGG some problems, but like with Andrade and DeGale, can he put 12 rounds together while withstanding the punishment.

Who can take the punishment for 12 rounds? Ward, Kovalev, Stevenson.... I don't see anyone at 154,160, or even 168 except maybe Zurdo because he's huge

Andrade and Charlo have the potential to possibly win but I'd argue that Canelo has proven that he has the tools to win. Quick combos, underrated head movement and a good chin. I've ripped on Canelo plenty but I definitely wouldn't overlook his chances against GGG.

Hard to beat a guy who can break your ribs with one shot on top of all the other things he does. The guys mentioned are all good, but based on what we've seen so far, I don't feel confident in their abilities, outside of Ward. When someone has been as dominant as GGG without having to go out of lower gears, that says something. We still don't know how good he is which is pretty crazy.
