Rising middleweight prospect Ryota Murata will join other Japanese star fighters in a Dec. 30 event at Ariake Colosseum, where he will take on Mexico's Bruno Sandoval.
Gold medalist and only fought bums till now. Even BJS would defeat this guy.
Till now? he took on 21-7-1 Akio Shibata in his debut then in his third pro bout he took on another seasoned veteran 29-3-0 Carlos Nascimento tell me what current middleweight champion was fighting that caliber in less than five pro fights not even contenders have that pedigree ; for only eleven fights under Ryota Muratas resume I think he has great potential.

Like that's saying anything : Dominic Wade, Brian Rose are in the top 20 and Murata has arguably better resume than them...I mean imagine the nerve of criticizing a prospect with eleven fights for not fighting top 30 fighters yet he fought a guy 29-3 in his third fight!...the fact that hes rated by every sanctioning body in the top 5 and top ten speaks for itself.

I agree with your premise that Murata's opposition hadn't been horrible for so few fights but you might want to cool it bragging about him KOing 29-3 Nascimento, who was 36, has a ridiculously padded record made in Brazil and has been KO'd every time he fought an opponent in the top 100 in his division. Other young fighters have fought better opponents in their first fight, let alone third. Shibata, the guy Murata debuted against, was probably better.
My problem with Murata is the same i have with all the 2012 prospects, i know he is a prospect, but man, he's been a pro for 4 years, it's time to step up.

Wade & Rose would've been good wins on Murata's record, his 2016 has been ugly. Four meaningless, record-padding wins to no-where.
It's like every year of his pro-career is moving backwards. He started so strong and looked good, then the competition got softer every year and he's looked more and more mediocre.
At 30 years old with an extensive amateur career, he's no longer a prospect. I know they made an offer to BJS for a December fight in Tokyo, but they should've made efforts to get other better comp this year. He could've had wins over Geale or Soliman this year, instead - poop.
