Friend, my point is, lose the deflectorama. You're trying to make it sound ok for this Valero mooo-ronn to do what he did, because somehow it's 'biz as usual'. Not buying it.

My point is that despite what boxers do outside the ring, that doesn't affect their legacy as ATHLETES.

That's a ridiculous opinion, and the reason we have more kids today acting like complete azzholeos. Athletes are SUPPOSED to be good moral compasses for the kids, set the right example for them. They aren't supposed to be fodder for the latest article about them beating their GF etc etc. Yet we have more and more boxers like Broner basically making being a punkazz ee-diott a goal for kids. More fools like Floydie beating up their GFs/wives in front of their kids, moo-ronns like Valero making misogyny more an accepted, mainstream behavior. Setting good examples is part of being a good boxer in the spotlight. They should use their fame to SET the good examples, not IGNORE them. It's time you woke up son, and realized that. Grow up.
