  • An Appeal To Pure Boxing Afficionados Here In Boxingscene

We guys here in the Boxingscene have a pretty much advance news and information regarding upcoming fights or match-ups between fighters, in short, in depth analysis on the fighters chances of winning a fight prior to the actual fight itself.(Of course with the exception of the opinions of a few nuthugggers).
And in making a bet, we members of this site, pretty much have advantage because of the said objective analysis and opinion made by those pure boxing afficionados and experts here in the BOXINGSCENE irregardless of their own personal whims and caprices.

Last week, I made a bet with my friend here in the ofc. 5,000 pesos or almost equivalent to $100.00 winning the same amount of money. One is to one. I'm rooting for Pacquiao and he is for Larios. What are the chances that Larios will be able to pull a win over PAC considering all the odds against him? I'm so threatened by his(my officemate's) confidence on Larios. Is there something I failed to analyse in both their streghted and weaknesses? May I please solicit an OBJECTIVE and UNBIASED answer from you guys??

(By the way, I choose Pac to win not necessarily because Im a Filipino myself but because, he is younger, stronger, faster and has already fought in 130 lbs.)TNX

Honestly, i would be absolutly, completly shocked if Larios won. If Larios cant hang in there with Vasquez for three rounds, the hes just not going to beat pac. Id say the odds are 20-1 in your favor. Dont worry about his confidence, you should have even more confidence that you will win.

Musta na kabayan? I think you're coworkers confidence is based on either paranoid delusions or an addiction to *******. Larios is a prohibitive underdog next month against Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao is atleast a 6-1 favorite to win against Larios, with the smart money on a Pacquiao KO in 6 rounds or less.

Pacquiao's power advantage and physical strength are the keys to victory. Manny Pacquiao is a monstrous puncher, and has even carried his punch up in weight. Larios has shown a vulnerability in the past to the big shot, as evidenced in his 2 KO losses to Vasquez. Manny Pacquiao will jump on him from the opening bell and try to swarm Chololo, who is a slow starter. He will be looking for a first or second round stoppage, and might get it. Larios takes a few rounds to get going, so he will be in alot of danger in the early rounds. Pacquiao is also the younger, fresher fighter who is coming off of a TKO victory over Morales, while Larios is coming off a stoppage against Vasquez, where he suffered a deep, nasty gash. I don't see anything here that would give that guy any reason to be confident about Larios' chances to pull off this upset in Manila.

With Larios skipping featherweight and coming to 130 from 122 seems like it would be a factor.Larios is a good boxer with a good punch. Will he still have that punch at 130 we will soon find out.IMO Larios always looked big for a jr. featherweight and remember that Pac won his first title at 112 and it seems like he began his career at strawweight.Larios is a good fighter and a warrior.I didn't see the third fight between Larios and Vasquez but I seen the second fight and in that fight it looked like Larios just had the style to beat him considering that Larios won most of the rounds before he stopped Vasquez in the 12th.I think that Pac will beat him but I wouldn't be shocked if Larios won the fight. He is a damn good fighter. One of the best at 122 for the last couple of years. How the move up in weight affects Larios is the biggest question imo.
