He's been pretty good but now it's time for him to step up in class and start fighting the Jarred Hurds and Vanes Martirosyans of the world to truely see where he's at.

There's too many killers in his division. He could be a player but I haven't seen enough yet. He's so young that you can slow move him for another 2 years.Comment

This is complete and utter bull**** by the way. Justin DeLoach beat 3 UNDEFEATED fighters this year including an Olympian. How he isn't the rising star I don't freaking know.Last edited by SkillspayBills; 12-27-2016, 08:34 PM.Comment

Because as a ranked contender, it doesnt matter what your age, you are expected to fight equal competition so he needs to come out of the fetal position and fight an equal. Fight another rising prospect and see what he is made of.Comment

There's no need to rush him into anything, but once he's gotten the needed experience and seasoning, Haymon's going to throw him into the deep pool and see what's what.
Julian Williams is with Al Haymon, Williams and his camp brought him along at their own pace, taking about 4 years with him, but when they all felt he was ready, they stepped out front. Williams had to wait for about a year, but he got his opportunity, and the result was what it was (Williams showed that he can fight on the top level, so he'll be kept in that top mix for as long as he can perform.
Lubin's been a pro fighter for all of 4 years, with just finishing his second year under Haymon. You add that he's opening up 2017 with Jorge Cota (a rugged and tough guy who can fight) and it's pretty clear that Lubin and his camp see this year as being where the steps up really start happening. Vanes, Austin Trout, Ishe Smith, Carson Jones, etc are likely the types of guys being eyed for 2017, before he gets set to take his own shot at the top in 2018.
Whether he sinks/swims will come down to how his ability ends up proving out at the age of 23.Comment
