I can't see Sanchez as trainer of the year. Golovkin looked crappy against Brook, and Gassiev got by on power alone against Lebedev. I haven't seen tremendous progress by any of his fighters.

Unfortunately, I can't think of who else deserves the award. Maybe Lomas father or Frampton's trainer (McGuigan?)

I wouldn't say fighter of the year, but knockout of the year would be worth considering. But that is an amazing fear by Joe Smith Jr. despite Hopkins age.
