I've been following these boxers and their drama for years. I don't need Mannix or Iole to tell me what happened.

It's plain as day and there are numerous videos from Loeffler and Sanchez where the truth comes out

Since the very same demographic is still pushing out the false narrative, that GGG ducked Ward, you should listen to the podcast.

      Here are a couple quotes:

Real fans know the truth but a certain demographic/fanbse, which is very active on this very forum will keep pushing the lies, the false narrative, the perception that GGG ducked Ward.

Ask yourself, is there any neutral/unbiased media out there who push the Agenda that GGG ducked Ward? All the respectable journalists, analysts and writers make it perfectly clear that GGG never avoided Ward. It is a certain demographic, Ward, Mayweather and his fans that tries to push Wards lies.

About the 164lb rumor vs Ward

Some people now claim that GGG wanted Ward at 164 and others at 168, that is also false. The only little truth about is, that Loeffler said, GGG was the clear A Side during that time, Ward was on a 2 year hiatus of not fighting, while GGG was fighting 3-4 times per year on HBO yet Ward insisted on a 50/50 split. So obviously thats bullshit, while GGG had to move up in weight and was the much bigger name.

Tom said, if Ward really insists on 50/50 split (while being inactive for 2 years and GGG the bigger name and ticket seller), then he also needs to make some other concessions, meaning, then its all 50/50, money AND weight, so GGG moves up 4lb and Ward down 4lb. That is perfectly fair isn't it? Ward never tried to negotiate another split (for example 168 and 40/60) or make any kind of counteroffer, so thats that!

Whoever tells you that Ward avoided/ducked Ward, just guide him to this thread.

Lmao. You love pushing this narrative. Golovkin has been a media darling for years. In the eyes of most of these boxing guys he does no wrong. Kinda the same **** we went through with Pacquiao, buy at least that was understandable. They address one situation where Ward wasn't an active fighter, didn't have a promotion behind him and was battling his former promotion. What they didn't address is the most recent attempt to make the fight. No that went totally ignored. Along with the attempts to try to drag him down to 160. Easy to ignore things that don't fit your agenda though. With that said, I don't think either fighter ducked the other. They don't fight in the same division. With that said, Golovkin and his team have absolutely shown no interest in fighting Ward in recent history.

pretty sure they offered to fight him and he complained that his shoulder was a bit sore...

The truth is that GGG vs Ward is a flatout Mismatch in favor of Ward. Ward is too big for GGG. GGG takes 9 rounds to TKO a bum in some fights. With Ward, he cant hurt him, so his only ways of winning is by outboxing him, which will never happen.

In the process of promoting GGG, Abel made comments about how GGG can beat Muhummed Ali, Foreman, and others.

He mentioned Ward's name, knowing that this fight is a mismatch. And when he mentioned his name, Ward woke up. Its not that they ducked him, its just that they used his name to promote GGG, knowing the fight couldnt be made.

It made them look like duckers.

the team mayweather angle is interesting and something i never gave much thought...but when you look at the people who were perpetuating the ggg ducking ward narrative on nsb, it makes sense. it's like you coulda predicted exactly who would be spouting it ahead of time.

FACT: Golovkin instead fought Dominic "Ankle Monitor" Wade and cherry picked a welterweight in 2015
FACT: Golovkin ducked Ward in 2015

I honestly don't care anymore. They're separated by two weight classes now and Golovkin doesn't have Brook's balls. Also for only the second time in Golovkin's career I'm actually interested in his next fight (first time was the Murray fight). Ward's next fight is a Kovalev rematch which is another legacy fight for him. Both guys are fine for the moment.

It will be interesting to see what's next for each after their next assignments though. What does Golovkin do without Canelo or BJS? What does Ward do without Kovalev? At least LHW has a ton of top prospects; Alvarez, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Bivol, Mekhontsev. Plus Stevenson is still out there.
