Hmmmm Ward ran? Improved conditioning? Now Ward can't improve. Let's see...he can not get knocked down trying to counter the right jab. He can close distance in round 1 instead of 4.

I hope both improve and give us a fight of the year. I also would like to see them on more sports channels to promote the rematch. Fighthype interviews and NSB articles ain gonna get it done.

So if Kitty Kov doesnt score a kd, Ward wins a more UNANIMOUS victory, lol. Kov is gonna take the bait (cause he's mad and he knows the bully just got bullied, on the inside, and try to fight inside to get a good shot on Ward, and he's gonna get more tired and then stopped. OR they can both move-up to heavyweight and fight for one of those off-brand Heavyweight championships and make more money, and bring the Heavyweight Championship back to regular sized humans.

One guy is jumping at the rematch, the other is threatening retirement. That should tell you all you need to know about who fancies their chances in the rematch.

          come on son SMH

EVERYONE said that Ward was underdone heading into the Kovalev fight..... get this, INCLUDING JACKSON!

          1) Ward will be sharper, he badly needed those 12 hard rounds.

          2) Ward will be stronger with another Mackie Shilstone camp under his belt..... the difference between 2 camps with Shilstone, and 3 camps with Shilstone..... is 50%

          3) Ward will have a much better gameplan, and will have a much easier time adjusting to Kovalev..... now that he has had a real close-up look at him

The better fighter always makes the better adjustments.

I predict an easier win for Ward in the rematch.

          edit:

oh, and Ward won't get knocked down by that sneaky right-hand next time.

              in the rematch.....

Kova will have to deal with a REAL light heavyweight

Kova will have to deal with a sharp opponent who is 100% ready

Kova will have to deal with everything that caused him problems the first time around, except more so

and the things that worked well for Kovalev last time, will be less effective in the rematch and may even cause him problems

I believe that Ward will get off to a better start, and if he starts racking up the rounds early, Kova will be operating under pressure as he tries to pick up the pace and force the action

I think those guys have a ton of work to do, and the question is on them to turn things around..... NOT on Andre Ward

any punch that was landed during a clinch or was setup because of a clinch is not a legal or clean punch. just like if you lowblow'd a guy and he doubles over in pain and then you hit him with a clean shot to the head it doesn't count because it was setup through illegal methods. ward setup and landed his "body work" illegally. not that it should matter since he lost even if you consider it as clean puncihing but if you score it correctly he loses by an even wider margin. if there were no clinching on ward's part he loses almost every round. the reason ward was clinching is because he couldn't box with kovalev so he had to cheat. he was not inside figthing. inside fighting is corrales castillo not grabbing the other guy and hitting him.
WHAT THE **** ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. ARE YOU RETARTED OR SOMETHING. Punching in the clinch is part of boxing you moron, its only illegal when the ref says ''stop punching'' to seperate them. **** u talking about cheating, please learn the sport of boxing. if anyone was cheating it was kov. ward choose to fight on the inside its not illegal u ****ing moron. everytime ward closed the distance to get on the inside kov pushed his head down ''THATS CHEATING'' funny u say ward cant fight on the outside, but kov was the one cheating to prevent ward from ****ing him up on the inside.

The only way coWard can improve on what he did is to retire like he's wanting to do. Then it will all be left to words and Andre is very good with SAYING what he can would did and will do LOL

i love how people say wards inside fighting is dirty. almost like when floyd stays on the outside and outboxes ppl they call him a runner! smh i call it hate, just another way for people to down play the fighter. yea ward didnt school kov, but who really expected him too?? kov is a great fighter who lost a VERY close fight to ward. Kov had no answers to wards inside boxing. all he could do is push wards head down and hold his arms. those body shots were hurting kov if ward got on the inside from rd1, he would have stopped or atleast dropped kov a few times. rd's 3,5,7,8,9,11,12 all ward rounds haters stop hating get over it.....
