Should Ricky Hatton add a Trainer?

Well the level of competition was raised in terms of the style. the last southpaw Hatton fought was Joe Hutchinson whom he knocked out in four rounds with a hook to the body. Before that he fought Stephen Smith who was a southpaw but the fight was stopped int he second when Smith's Dad broke in the ring Rog Mayweather style. Before that Hatton was put on his ass by Eamonn Magee, yes, another southpaw. So all in all, Hatton has not had adequate preparation to fight a southpaw as good as Collazo.

With that said, Collazo did everything I felt he would do and did not surprise me at all whereas Hatton was lacking in so many areas. Hatton's jab was not there, neither was his energy, his combinations, his placement of shots on the inside, and the amount of times he lead with a right hand that just sailed over onto Collazo's back and Collazo countered with the right hook was just pitiful for Hatton.

Don't down Hatton too much. He's had a lot of credit in the last eight months but he is going to get a lot of **** for this as it is and if he cannot acclimate to welterweight, then he and HBO have a problem.

well thats not true at all. I have a friend who is by far the biggest boxing fan i know, and he loves to pick up New prospects and follow them. Collazo is his favorite so far. He loves the guy. Likes the fact that he found him very early in his career and called that hed be real good.
