    Well, Billy should blame himself:
A trainer is the one that is NEVER supposed to over-look his fighter's opponent; it is his job to get his fighter ready for anything, to make sure that he is prepared for the full 12 rounds.

For Ricky being hurt, well what do you expect when you get hit flush on the chin over and over and over again...this is why boxers have an answer for this, it is called head-movement, blocking the punch, and rolling with the punch.

For the weight, NO ****, could this be part of the reason why Hatton started to run out of steam in those later rounds, my guess, YES.

JuicyJuice is nto bull****ting here; Hatton was not there in his usual form. I have seen him fight his entire career and long before he was even on television at British level and especially the Hatton that evolved over the last few years was not present in that ring last night. I have no reason to lie about it, I just call it as I see it and I know that I was screaming at the TV for Hatton to get himself going back into that snappy style. He just did not have it. And when he got inside he was very much subdued when unleashing his shots. he looked like he had spent his body shots after four rounds and all of a sudden he looked ponderous, heavy and unable to fend Collazo off for some reason. That was as bad as I have seen Hatton look in a long time and I really believe that it was only sheer willpower that got him to the end of the fight.

The problems were out of Billy's hands. HBO gave Hatton the fight, and Kerry Kayes (his nutritionist) adjusted his diet and weight programme.

Graham says that if a fighter can make weight comfortably, as Hatton can 140, there is no reason to move up. He was against it.

Yep. Looking at clips of the fight, to me it just looks HIDEOUS! By far the worst I've ever seen Hatton. And I've been watching Ricky since he beat Albert Coates for the 1994/95 NABC Class B title, I've never seen him look anything like that! It was sad.

Yes, I know Billy was against it, he was pissed that the reason Ricky had to move up in weight is to get to Mayweather...this was in an inteview not to long ago

It was definitely sad Juicy, he looked very leaden-footed and was not letting his shots go as often or with as much venom as he has done in the past. Collazo was very good but because nobody rated him before he fought Hatton, of course Hatton will get slated for that instead of being commended for taking the difficult fight against that style and quality of opponent in a world championship fight at a weight he had not fought at before.

It's funny how Diego Corrales gets a lot of supprot for the fact that he got knocked out by Castillo and that is blamed on how much Castillo weighed in the fight. Also, Mayweather was put down, if not all the way, but put down twice by Judah in his first real fight at welterweight, except we never hear anything on that from anyone. Hatton took bombs from a guy in his first fight at the weight and never went down. the man deserves a little credit for that.

Ya, Hatton looked awesome against those C level fighters.
He had his hands full with Collozo, who is a b level fighter at best.

Dude, C level and B level is just a bunch of ****** word games for internet fans.

And you can show you have awesome skills on a ****ing punching bag, it doesn't matter who is in front of you

You'd have one crazy mofo to suggest that that looked like the usual Hatton in there lastnight.

Actually, i have been hearing those terms since i was a child. B and C level competition is how competition is graded, and Collazo is certainly a B level fighter. He didint give in, he didint lay down in the face of pressure, he didint crumble. Weather he had a bad day or not, the more elite the competition gets, the more "bad days" hes gonna be having.
