How would it change the landscape? Cats that Golovkin has in check (Canelo, Ward) might be more willing to move around divisions, or they might duck Jacobs as well. I don't think too much changes.

        Stop it bro, just stop.

I think Canelo would be more likely to face Jacobs than Golovkin, but supposedly we are going to get the Golovkin fight in September so maybe he fights the winner then either way.

It wouldn't shock me at all.

Far better fighters than GGG have been beaten.

Why do you start threads and not give your opinion on the topic you started?

On to the topic, I'd be surprised, but life goes on and Jacobs has a good story and it would be the pinnacle of his comeback to win that fight. People would call GGG a hype job etc but they'll do that 5 years from now when he's 40 if he loses so who cares...

May the best man win. Simple as that. It's a great story for Jacobs if he wins. Golovkin would just go on to chasing Cameltoe.

Yes, I think it would. As a GGG fan I would be sad to see him lose although many on here would be overjoyed at his defeat. As a Jacobs fan I would be happy for him. I think he is a hell of a fighter and a very good champion. Anybody who beats GGG becomes an instant star. If GGG has to lose I can't think of a guy I rather see beat him than Jacobs. He is still young and a brave champion who fights dangerous guys like Pirog, Quillen, and GGG.

Just imagine if he knocked out Golovkin in the first round how bat shi crazy it would go in here. Danny has to KO this guy or the run ends. He HAS to get the KO i feel. That will either make him rise to the occasion or get taken out. If he wins he is suddenly on top of the MW division and in the P4P discussion. He instantly becomes a must fight for Canelo to take for his legacy.
