obviously it wouldnt change the landscape much it would just be the next over hyped fighter beaten. (i dont think ggg is overhyped per say just if he were to lose).

It might be a good thing overall because right now ggg fan boys revolve everything around ggg no matter what it is as we see with certain people who make 35 threads a day about ggg

On to the topic, I'd be surprised, but life goes on and Jacobs has a good story and it would be the pinnacle of his comeback to win that fight. People would call GGG a hype job etc but they'll do that 5 years from now when he's 40 if he loses so who cares...
      Because it is a question

Not sure how boxing would change but I'd be shocked.

I'd be shocked but it wouldn't change the landscape much. Not many victories can actually change the boxing landscape. Changing the landscape means fundamentally alter your view of a division. It would just mean Jacobs would be #1 and GGG would be #2. It's not like all the sudden we get all these crazy matchups we never thought of before. Now Charlo destroying Lemule, that would alter the landscape because now there would be a new force in the division.

Well I'll be surprised to say the least but stand up and applaud Jacobs.. Ofcourse he will deserve the much recognition he'd have got then...

I won't be as surprised as most of these guys. Jacobs should be a difficult opponent for GGG. I'm hoping Golovkin wins but Danny is dangerous and talented enough for me to realize that a GGG win is not a foregone conclusion.

If Jacobs beats GGG the biggest positive affect is on Canelo & GBP who will no longer need to fight their biggest threat.

As far as how things work out for Jacobs & GGG, I think GGG is still considered one of the more fun guys to watch in the sport, but he'll likely now get better fights then he's been getting which will be much better to his bottom line & legacy cuz he'll beat most of these guys unless he has or does start "getting old" quickly. Jacobs on the other hand is likely to be more popular than ever like after the Quillin fight, but won't fight again til the end of 2017 after some of the luster has fallen off & probably against a Willie Nelson type cat or something like that so he'll have lost momentum on the W & Canelo will have likely readjusted to 160 & become the man at 160 in most fans minds by that time.
