Nel compadre, from Piedras Negras. I have no obsession with Lemieux, you just have no reading comprehension. No matter how many times I tell you Lemieux prepared better to face GGG than Jacobs, your brain goes into full ****** mode because that statement simply doesn't sink in. No you go back 5 years and 14 fights ago reinforcing youre a bootleg boxing fan. Jacobs will lose inside the distance and I'm going to remind you how he simply didn't fight anyone credible or sufficient rounds against Quillin to prepare against GGG.

u guys not notice that golovkin was lighter and smaller than brook?Comment

hard to argue with that, but jacobs was fightin dumb and reckless and walked right into a perfectly timedNot saying he isn't #2, I'm saying given his 10 most recent opponents and a quick 1st round KO of Quillin, he hasn't gotten the best experience to prepare for GGG that's all. I honestly think Lemieux is better and has just a good enough KO ratio as Danny Jacobs. His wins against Hassan N'Dam, Glen Tapia and Gabriel Rosado were better experience fights against GGG than the 1 minute KO against the overly protected Peter Quillin. When the Latin snakes are putting you on your as for Christ sakes, you're not ready for GGG.
shot by a crafty vet. i gotta give him a
pass on that.
BUT
the rematch was **** tho both of them bungling around and tripping over each other. they both ******.Comment

Just looking at this from another angle - the 12 month period leading up to the fight are probably the best ones to look at if comparing preparation. IF Jacob's had had 10 rounds Rosado and 12 rounds N'Dam in the 12 months leading up to the GGG fight (what Lemieux had), it would almost certainly have been better preparation than 7 rounds against Mora (what Jacobs had). Not saying he isn't #2, I'm saying given his 10 most recent opponents and a quick 1st round KO of Quillin, he hasn't gotten the best experience to prepare for GGG that's all. Lemieux for sure had the better preparation (without going into whether he's better or not, as we're talking about preparation right?).
Then again, Golovkin's year leading up to Jacobs didn't go so great either though ! 5 rounds Brook, 2 rounds Wade. So both of them have only boxed 7 rounds in the previous 12 months.
But 2 fights in the previous 12 months is twice as active as 1 fight, so I guess activity advantage to Golovkin.Comment

GGG's top opponent was Canelo - I mean he completely exposed someone considered a "Mexican warrior" into draining himself to hide at a catch weight for years and completely destroyed his reputation around the entire world. I'd say that GGG damaged Canelo more than Floyd did.
that is truly ******ed thinking
what nonsenseComment

First round knockdowns are pretty common too where fighters get cold-****ed, but get up to fight on and are able to take much heavier shots when warmed up.
Tons of examples, but if just sticking with Jacobs and GGG
- Jacobs going down to Mora was one where he got up and could have fought on for 12.
- Brook got wobbled in the first round against GGG but went on to win round 2 and also take much heavier shots later without staggering (before falling apart in round 5)
- then of course Quillin. If Quillin had been smarter and held after the first shot that rocked him (still remember Malignaggi yelling 'he didn't hold till a lot of shots got through...he needs to smother this'), he could have avoided that second bomb that pretty much ended it (even take a knee to break it further, he wasn't getting out of that round without a 10-8 anyway).
Getting cold-****ed is part of boxing.....could happen to GGG too.....Comment
