Mayweather would bring his hard training and dedication. He would bring his natural stamina and his gameness. No doubt he would be the best fist fighter in MMA history. How good he be at wrestling, ground fighting and kicking? Nobody has the slightest idea how good he would be at these things and they are a big part of winning MMA fights. Floyd might be a good kicker and a good wrestler or he might suck at it. Just because he is a great boxer doesn't mean he would be great at these other things. Each sport is different. A great basketball player might be terrible at tennis. How good he would be as an MMA fighter is anybody's guess but it would only be a guess. My guess is he would be a damn good MMA fighter.

he certainly wouldn't do well in the ufc. you can't wait 5 years to fight #1 contenders in that organization. also people in the ufc have been supspended for doing 1/10 the amount of iv fluid that floyd had .

Good point. I was assuming the question was if a young Mayweather started out as an MMA fighter as the sport is now. If the question was if Mayweather went with MMA instead of boxing in real time it makes no sense. As you say when Mayweather turned pro MMA fighting was almost unknown. Even today the highest paid MMA fighters make peanuts compared to the highest paid boxers. It wouldn't be the sport for Money Mayweather.

I think he'd be a great fighter as long as his hands hold up! His work ethic is 2nd to none(i mean the guy worked out so hard he was dehydrated and pissing black pee) and he's very intelligent!

So add that plus him hypothetically being raised by a family that has a long history in MMA, he'd be a great champion!

What kind of fighter he'd be? Depends on what his family, hypothetically that raised him around MMA since he practically was a baby would teach him!

His record would be 30 fights, 25 victories, 17 by KO(i think his hands won't hold up much as he ages so he'd strike more from a distance and move a lot more but loses some early fights and gain experience to take him to the next level!

He'll be a guy people in MMA hate but pay to watch him lose!

A Floyd Mayweather brought up by an MMA family since birth, taught MMA, earned spotlight and top fighter position there vs Conor McGregor would make Dana White ooze with dollar signs!

Well, it's because people like to imagine all sorts of scenarios in which he wouldn't have won. It's a coping method and gives much needed relief. Never underestimate Pac's loss to Mayweather. It was a catastrophic tragedy that reverberates to this day.

Floyd would get his neck snapped in an octagon. .nobody is gonna stand up with him, they'll take him to the ground and crush him like roadkill.

Except he DID lose to Maidana and Castillo..arguably Oscar too..and the Pacquiao fight was so damn trash it should've been a No Contest for charging fans $100 for that bull****.

Well he was definitely no Floyd Jr.
But senior still was a professional boxer.
Jr was trained by professionals in the sport from the time he was in the crib.
