Nick Blackwell has regained consciousness after doctors told his family he might never wake up after an ill-advised sparring session. The former British middleweight champion, who was put into an induced coma in March after collapsing following a defeat at the hands of Chris Eubank Jr., was forced to give up boxing in the wake of that incident.

Hope he wears headgear in the ring until they put that piece of his skull back in.

Still can't believe the dumb decision to spar again. What were they thinking?

If he continues to recover at this rate he'll be back in the ring in no time.

Hopefully he ****ing learned the lesson this time. People were babying him, and chose vilify the boxer and trainer who allowed the spar, but truth be told, Nick bares just as much, if not more responsibility.

If he's dumb enough to step into the ring when he has a ventilation shaft in his skull, then he deserves no sympathy.

Dude should just get Fight Night, and start a new career if he can't stop boxing.

Selfish decision cant have any remorse when he clearly knows he escaped with his life the first time and then unnecessarily puts his family through all that pain again and the health service which is already on its knees
