Glad he's recovering well. He should not get back into boxing anymore though, not sparring either. Sometimes you have to accept that you have to try another career field.

Hopefully he ****ing learned the lesson this time. People were babying him, and chose vilify the boxer and trainer who allowed the spar, but truth be told, Nick bares just as much, if not more responsibility.

If he's dumb enough to step into the ring when he has a ventilation shaft in his skull, then he deserves no sympathy.

Dude should just get Fight Night, and start a new career if he can't stop boxing.

Everyone involved should take some blame. However that doesn't excuse Blackwell himself. At the end of the day he's a grown man and responsible for his own decisions.

I can understand in a way. He was probably feeling good and as a fighter he probably thought he still has it but that doesn't excuse how utterly ****** it was.

At least now hopefully he has to accept that he can never box. He should thank his lucky stars he's alive to see this as his final warning.

This Blackwell is just a dumb idiot. No remorse, he was lucky to be alive after the CE Jr fight. After that night the British Board or whatever it is should have banned him for life. No training, no sparring, no gym...his ****** friends like BJS and Fury who were mocking Ce jr that night instead of looking out for their friend who was literally getting his brains scrambled should have kept him away from the gym. Trainer's license? what a joke , he should have got himself a bar tenders license

As a physical therapist I professionally have tbi patients and am educated, and as a dad my son suffered a tbi this past July, same injury, fractured skull, epidural hematoma with lifeflighted to surgery. Point being that Nick is at fault, unless he is suffering from mental deficits. The patient is heavily EDUCATED on his diagnosis, prognosis and contraindications. it takes at LEAST ONE year to heal a tbi and usually longer.
Nick should have known this, it is literally coneyed 100times by the time you are discharged out of the hospital along with family education. If the guy sparring him knows the intricacy of the injury he should be held liable, but not everyone is educated on the severity of it.

Here is hoping Nick learned his lesson and hits mitts and bags from now on.

My son is a teenager and has yet to do one thing ****** around the house let alone something as foolish as this.
