Well Danny got floored in the amateurs by Korobov, then in the pros's by Pirog, now it's Golovkin's turn.

True but DJ was completely shocked by Pirog. He did not expect to be knocked out in that fight. He expected to beat up this overseas unknown and found out he was unprepared for Pirog's unusual movement and power. He's been exposed to those traits now, which Gennady possesses. That experience will serve him well in this fight. I have a feeling people are going to be suprised yet again come fight night. Danny is going to beat the hell out of Triple G early. Gennady has to survive that onslaught and get into the later rounds to win the fight IMO. In the excitement of this fight getting signed, people forgot how sloppy Triple G looked against Brook. DJ is gonna find early success.

I was being partly sarcastic. I give Danny a pass vs Pirog. He was only 23 years old and untested (Ishe Smith is hardly a great test) and dealing the death of his grandma going into the Pirog fight. Pirog was a man at that point and proven himself against good tough journeymen like Eric Mitchell, Jantuah, Toygonbayev, and Ajetovic.

I expect him to fight Golovkin similar to Lorenzo, countering off the backfoot and clinching in close. I don't think he'll be as aggressive as Brook was, nor do I think Golovkin will be as sloppy. Golovkin is very good at keeping his chin tucked, and deflecting shots with his shoulders. If he gets buzzed, he steps back and resets the action. The more aggressive Danny fights, the shorter the fight will be.

Jacobs has already faced a much tougher opponent than GGG and won that fight. Look for Jacobs to give the overrated GGG all the commie can handle and possibly win a close NYC decision as the crowd cheers on Jake. Go for the Jacobs decision over the overrated commie in America.
