UFC has fighters on standby so the PPV can go on. All I'm saying is Golden Boy needs contingency plans in the contract and one outside the contract so that if Chavez doesn't make weight it don't kill the PPV date. Canelo is not just going to fight him if he misses weight so need something to salvage the PPV.

I'm fine with this fight but it further proves that Canelo and GBP flat out DUCKED GGG. It can't be refuted.

How do you say that you're not a real MW and run back down to 154 to avoid facing your mandatory, yet are willing to go up to SMW to face Chavez Jr? A few months ago you were to small for MW but now you're fine with being a SMW?

Same way GGG said he would go to 154 or 168 for a big fight. Specifically said he'd go to 154 for Floyd and Manny but backtracked saying he wouldn't drop a single lb to fight Canelo. And was willing to sign a deal at 168 for Chavez but refused to fight Ward unless it was at 164. And Canelo is NOT going up to 165 for Chavez. That's the weight Chavez will have to make. Canelo like floyd or Manny when they made catchweight fights with guys from bigger weight classes will come in slightly above their normal weight but significantly under the contract. My guess is Canelo comes in at or slightly below 160. Anyone who thinks he's weighing 165 is an idiot.

A duck is a duck. You can spin it any way you want but the truth of the matter is....GGG never gave up a strap or ran up or down in weight to avoid having to face his mandatory who was viewed as his biggest threat to date.

Like I said....I'm fine with this fight, but it proves that all that weight talk was just an excuse to duck GGG.

Still waiting on GGG to move up? Sht EVEN CanYellow is moving up AGAIN!!!!

            |I will BET you ANY amount of $$$$$ GGG doesn't fight anyone this year at any weight but 160???? When I collect my $$$$ 12/31/2017. We can do it again in 2018.
When he struggles to make weight he can move up. I really dont see any reason to move up. The only fight worth moving up money wise is Chavez, and Ward was there for legacy, but is no longer there. His 35, his body aint growing like 24 year olds. Whenever there is big name at 168 he should move up.

So in your opinion GGG can fight Chavez but Canelo shouldn't??? Listen either one of them fights Chavez would probably do easily 500K PPV buys. So why u mad???

Also your right GGG shouldn't move up.

But like Canelo and is Real MexiCANS don't *** around speech made him look VERY BAD!!!

GGG ANYONE from 154-168 speech makes GGG look bad also. I'm sure they both wish they could take that back.

not to mention loughler has been saying even this week that ggg would still fight chavez so give it a rest
Agree, we all know Ward would beat GGG at 168. Maybe GGG need a couple of tune ups. Its simple Chavez and Froch were money fights, low risk high reward. Ward was High risk low reward. Remenber Ward took a couple of tune ups before fighting Kovalev at 175. Jr and Froch could have been GGG tune ups at 168.

They use to say that when they were nobodies. When they started fighting on HBO, didnt have a names. Come on dude which boxer that u know fights in 3 weight classes at any given time? None. Well the bogus argument that he was not middleweight is just a lie (Canelo). Canelo should had taken a fighter at 160 when he fought Khan to get use to the weight, then fight GGG or Saunders in September 2016.

Only GGG never said that. Abel Sanchez did.

Excellent post! No way does Canelo come in over 160 pounds.
