please explain how g string beating Geale is comparable to Floyd beating Oscar, I really want to hear this.

Read the post I was quoting. I said Geale is comparable to Floyd's win over Jesus Chavez.

No. Even though Oscar was past it, he was a past it HOFer and definitely not shot at that point. Consider the size advantage for Oscar as well and Golovkin can't match that win.

no he doesnt have a better win than de la hoya. Golovkins cv is nowhere near floyd mayweathers, not beaten an 'A' class fighters and mayweathers CV is littered with them. IN some ways hes got himself to blame by turning pro so late (did he really need 350 odd amateur fights?) but in other ways hes not had the opportunities of world class fights like mayweather has, welterweights always been stacked over the years, and thebig names around gggs weight (martinez, froch, cotto, canelo) all passed up the opportunity to fight him, thats the truth of it whether people like it or not.

He had the opportunity to face Ward. Decided not to.
