This financial split in this fight really interests me greatly. As the champ BJS is do a 75-25 or 60-40 lion's share of the pot. Canelo didn't want to give GGG 40% , but as the mandatory challenger to BJS he'll have to give up even more $$$$$. If it goes to purse bid, how much is Golden Boy willing to pay for the fight knowing full well that Saunders will get bigger share ?? This move by the WBO puts BJS in the driver's seat. Billy Joe doesn't have to accept a flat fee and he won't vacate the title (like Canelo) , so I'm pretty sure he's smiling from ear to ear and yelling " SHOW ME THE MONEY " !!

Canelo will use the BJS fight as leverage for BBB side negotiations. K2 will take the offer given or Canelo will fight BJS in the fall for his middleweight strap.
BJS may fight on the Canelo/Chavez Jr. undercard to stay busy and hope GGG price themselves out and he gets his shot and payday that comes with it.
