Iron jaw is an overstatement. His chin was good enough, but iron jawed fighters don't get hurt by demarcus corley. He was also buzzed by pac on a punch that wasn't a big shot and he saw coming the whole way. He knew how to handle himself when he was hurt, and that's as important, if not more important than having a great chin.

yeah me too. Love the first mayweather fight especially, literally no feeling out rounds or any respect shown, just straight in there walking him down throwing bombs.

He had a decent enough chin. Could take a punch when he needed to. Wasn't iron though

Then there was Hatton who caught Mayweather clean, again with just one shot in the first round, sending him staggering back to the ropes, almost crumpling to the canvas. So what's the deal, does Mayweather have a glass jaw but it's been well protected by his immaculate defense so it very rarely even gets hit. If his defense wasn't so good, is it likely he would have been knocked out on numerous occasions? Or indeed, if he faced someone with the speed to hit him repeatedly, like for example Amir Khan.
Khan's not gonna hurt Floyd with his pitty-pat punches.

Mayweather didn't have the best chin but it certainly wasn't glass.

Getting wobbled doesn't mean you have a glass jaw, it means it was a good shot, or you were off balance, or both.

Getting put to sleep cold often and with lesser shots is evidence of a glass jaw.

Floyd in fact has a granite chin.

He had a great chin, even when Mosley tagged him he still had enough sense to hold to his arm and when he got hit again he kept his balance on shaky legs.

He has only been down because of an arm injury
