I'm not familiar with the guy Warren is fighting, but it appears to be a solid defense. Cruz is a gatekeeper, Easter will lay waste to him. Hopefully we get the Shafikov fight in the Summer

You seem to be overly obsessed with Oscars "ass" and what he wears and his sexuality. Sounds like you're looking for a little Latino Heat.

This is what we like to call a feel good showcase fight. I expect to fight someone that is actually worth a damn his next one out.

Commey vs Easter was a great fight and fans already complaining. Guy can't even get a showcase fight in his hometown. Those fans drove all the way from Toledo to Reading to support Easter Jr. He deserves to give them a showcase at home.

I wonder how long some of you have been watching boxing. Everyone fights tune ups. Get over it. Let him stay active. Now if he goes on a string of bad fights then let's complain. Not sure what the complaints are for.

I just checked the IBF rankings (Easter Jr. to fight someone in ranked in the top 15) and Luis Cruz was really the only choice. Everyone else in the top 15 has either just fought recently, is injured or has a fight coming up.

So really, who was he supposed to fight? Or should have just have sat out ad waited til the summer to fight his mandatory Denis Shafikof?

                    #1 Denis Shafikov (38-2-1) last fought 12/2/16 - Mandatory by March 9 2017

#7 Alejandro Luna (21-0) last fought 8/5/16, was supposed to fight last week?
#8 Luke Campbell (15-1) last fought 10/15/16, fighting Terry Flanagan next year for his WBO Belt
