Do You Believe Bernard Hopkins Will Fight Again?

Hopkins retired a few times and then returned. Do you think this is it for B-Hop, his career comes to a close, or will he have an easy farewell fight? Maybe he'll even shock the world once more and come back to beat Joe Smith in a rematch, or even Adonis Stevenson?

Nah, he's done. Fingers crossed he does retire or he'll end up like Roy, getting knocked out by people he'd school in his prime.

No. His pride and ego may encourage him, but I think he'll either come to his senses and admit the ride is over or someone close to him will talk with him and do it for him.

Seriously man I hope Bernard Hopkins realizes its over. I hope he looks at the tape of his last fight, and sees he was looking like Fred "Twinkletoes" Flintstone with his footwork and it can only get worse.

Perhaps you are right, but you are not talking about smith right?..I think smith is a legitimate contender now..those 2 KO's show its no fluke.

No. He fought extremely poorly even compared to his previous fight with Kovalev. He is a smart man and he surely must know how lousy his performance was. He must be a very rich man by now with no need to fight for money. He is not a big spender who buys fancy cars and houses. He has a partnership in Golden Boy and a job with HBO. He promised before the fight to retire for good and he will keep that promise. He has never previously promised to retire.

Probably. He has a big ego and I'm sure he wants to end his career with a win

Hopkins never retired and then returned. Check his record and you will see he had at least 1 and usually 2 fights or more every year since he turned pro until he fought Kovalev. After he lost to Kovalev he took a layoff of over a year but said nothing about retiring, This is the first time Hopkins has said he was retiring. There is no reason not to believe him.
