I couldnt agree more. But I also know that in all my years in the industry, I have never seen a unified champion have such difficulty getting the other top fighters in his division to face him. Even guys like Wink, PWill, etc didnt have it this bad.

When it takes $3 million bucks (or therebouts) just to get a relatively obscure (to casuals) mandatory challenger to face you, then the fact is you are being avoided. Sure, Loefflers reluctance to play hardball definitely contributes to the issue, but the cat is being ducked, plain and simple.

GGG is surely not the 1st guy to not get fights he wanted. Hell, Hagler went years before he got a sniff at a title belt. Floyd was basically begging any name at or near his weight for a fight.

Yes, the top gys at MW have avoided him. No denying that. This is in part why many of us suggest Haymon fighters get a chance at him.

I was more angry with Loefflers incompetence than I was with Jacobs/Haymon/Dibella. Sure, they were a bit "extortionary" with their demands, but Loeffler could have called their bluff and went to bid. And im irritated this fight didnt happen on Dec 10, even though Jacobs was posting photos from the gym in Oct, but then magically cant be ready by Dec 10. Had Loeffler went ahead with the original bid date in oct he could have forced the dec 10 date, but thats a whole other story.......

The June fight is the tricky one! Can GGG go up to fight Zurdo Ramirez or the DeGale/Jack winner, and come back to 160 for a Canelo fight in September? I would love to see Lara get that June spot! It shouldn't be difficult because K2 is working with Haymon now!

Lara vs GGG ain't happening for real. there ain't money for doing that fight, it's just not doable.

GGG should stand his ground. The fight with Canelo will bring in well over 100 million dollars. The fifteen million that Oscar is offering GGG is an insult. It's simply another way for Canelo to duck GGG.

True! All you have to do is look at the P4P top 5-6 and you got a guy in there who best win is Lemuix and the other one Inactive Walter! I mean neither one of those guys were ever even thought of as P4P worthy. And those 2 are put in over guys that put in some SERIOUS WORK!!! Don't get me wrong they pass the eye test and might deserve such high rankings but they haven't EARNED those ranking just yet.

Why was Canelo vs. Lara "doable," but not GGG vs. Lara? If you're about to say that Lara wants more money for GGG than he got for Canelo, please provide a link because I have not read that anywhere.

Dude again, 2 out of the 4 fights are on PPV, PPV fights dont take money out of the HBO budget.
Also keep in mind, IF he fights Canelo in september, and IF he wins the fight, at that point he will probably be a PPV fighter only.
Therefore, the december fight should also be on PPV.
==> Only the hypothetical fight between the jacobs and Canelo fight will get funded from the HBO budget.

But, only if everything will work as planned, GGG could lose, get injured or die, but as you see his wish to fight 4 times shouldnt concern the HBO budget at all.

Again if there is quality fights to be made Then I would hope and want to see GGG fight 12-24 times a year. But seeing guys that have no business in the ring just to get paid for the beating I won't watch... Except for Khan and Broner.

i highly doubt it. Would be a huge event there, but we all know the money is in the US particularly in Vegas. if he wants to make more money he needs to beat Canelo. To become the star and then demand more money for future fights. He is 35... How long can he continue to get paid to ko bums?

Highly doubt 4 fights especially with the fights he will/should be in this year. It's not like when he first started fighting in America. 3 fights max imo.
