I can't see anyone in this sport today taking a fight of this caliber for under $500k.
Who cares about tv numbers, it's all about what money you generate. Who cares about selling 6 tix, those ticket sales probably didn't generate a million in sales. Promoters aren't going to pay him what he wants when they barely make a million on his fights. Jacobs is getting 3 mil because they believe that fight will generate money from tickets sales and PPV.

You normally don't expect too much from a division almost irrelevant to most fans. You're relegated to undercard fights. It's a take it or leave it to both parties, network and fighter. You can wax poetic about the danger of the sport as a fan. As a fighter, your choice is to leave it if you're not happy. No one forces you to stay.

Both Cuadras and Gonzalez are promoted by Teiken in Japan. Why not hold the fight in Japan and sell HBO the TV rights in the US? A fight shown on Saturday night in the US on HBO at 9pm would have to be held in Japan on Sunday at noon. In Japan they have fights every day of the week even Sunday. Selling the Japanese TV rights to Fuji or NTV plus the revenue from HBO should be enough to offer decent money to Roman and Carlos especially with the lower taxes. The hours between Japan/US work out unlike fights in Britain where a prime time program in the US would be in the middle of the night in England. A fight in Japan between Roman and Cuadras would probably attract a better crowd there since both have fought there multiple times especially if they add some decent Japanese fighters on the undercard. Makes sense to me anyways.

i call this bull S***t Chocolatito is the P4P and yes it was a great fight BUT IT did not generate much Money for HBO his promoter and the venue where he fought 400K is more than enough for someone who has not created enough buzz for his own career.

Lomachenko and Walters just fought for $1mill & $300k, I think Chocolatito is atleast as big a draw as Lomachenko. I'm not saying he deserves $1mill, but certainly between $400k and $1mill seems fair market price for him in this fight.

I can't think of one other top fighter in this sport who would've fought a caliber of fighter like Caudras, an undefeated champion in a higher weight class, for just $400k. Being a foreign fighter he loses a lot of money to taxes, and now with the fight going to NYC, waaaaay more goes to taxes there.

Wars? What wars, s.tupid? He has like 50 fights, 30 years old and only had 2 ****in elites rivals, Estrada, IN 108 POUNDS, and Cuadras, precisely he is ducking the wars, he had 3 years ducking the rematch with Estrada.

Achievements? Good, but not special because he never unified titles, 4 world champs? Fu.ck that, Santa Cruz is 3 division champ, Broner, god, BRONER, is 4 division world champ.

I'm ****** and ignorant yet you turn around and ask what wars has he been in.....riiiight.

You are bias becauae of your Mexican patriotism. Be careful as patriotism is a double-edged sword, it both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. You tend to make your comments infused with hate and blinded by patriotism.

Chocolatito gets into a war every time he fights! He closes the distance and turns it into a battle of short range skill and attrition, like Chavez Sr used to do. Only time he is running around the ring is when he is chasing someone. No backward steps. Him and GG have similar style, Mexican Style!!
Makes for great watching. Look at his face after the cuadras fight...how many people do you see looking like that after a fight nowdays???
Respect the wbc world champ. Done more than you, you piece of ****.
What don't you forget about boxing and go do something useful like trying to fix up your ****ed up, cartel run country.
I'm not bias. Only I said the truth, fu.ck you are very ******. So Leo Santa Cruz was in a lot of wars? A war is when your rival is great, powerful, elite fighter. Gonzalez in all his ****in career have only 2. And he is ducking the rematch.

I could say bad words but I always said the truth. And I'm not a patriotic guy Canelo is **** and he is ducking GGG like Chocolatito is ducking the rematch.
