First of all, I am glad Hopkins is fine (relatively) after that sickening fall out of the ring.
He is one of the best and most consistent champions I have ever watched and in his prime he could give any other middleweight champ in history hell or more.
That being said, I was thinking about this recently. I was thinking about Jack Dempsey and how he fought one of the hardest punching heavyweights who ever laced up a pair of gloves. He got knocked right through the ropes. And climbed back in. And beat Firpo.
Hopkins fell out of the ring twice. Once the referee pushed him out of the ring against Robert Allen and then Smith knocked him straight through the ropes. He was talking how he could get back in but...
There were no if's and but's for the Manassa Mauler.
