This is a dumb fight. I don't know what Cotto gains by winning this. It's almost like he just wanna get paid again.

I never have a problem with a fighter wanting to be paid for his full-time (or even part-time) job, but Cotto has been a diva for years. So yeah, it's only about the money at this point.

Styles make fights. Alvarez is a Puncher so he's comfortable fighting on the outside wich is where Cotto chose to fight. Kirkland is a Brawler who simply tries to turn the fight into a toe to toe Brawl. Kirkland is going to get right in Cotto's face and attack him from the opening bell.

I don't think Kirkland punches any harder than Canelo. Kirkland is a pressure fighter. He usually wears his opponent down from constant volume.

This will be a fun fight.
