Jezreel Corrales will deserve to be a voting option if he manages to defeat Uchiyama again on the 31st.

Should we have a top 5 or a top 10?
            Terence Crawford
            Carl Frampton
            Roman Gonzalez
            Vasyl Lomachenko
            Manny Pacquiao
            Joe Smith Jr.
            Andre Ward

Usyk, Charlo, Corrales, Yamanaka, Kovalev are outsiders that could be added in

No reason it has to be 5 or 10 necessarily tho...

Wasn't supposed to win any of those fights... and did in IMPRESSIVE fashion.
I can agree with that. Smith was a virtual unknown, who KO'd Fonfara in one round, and KO'd an old but very capable Hopkins. He's also an everyday blue collar guy, who puts in the work and gets the job done. This kid's going places.

I do second this, I went into this year barely knowing who Lomo is now I vote him #1 P4P hands down

No way on Kovalev. You don't win Fighter of the Year by losing fights. Replace Kovalev with Gassiev and you have 12 that deserve at least an honorable mention. I think Boxing Scene's polls allow a maximum of 10 though. In addition to the top 7, add Usyk, Charlo, and Corrales if he wins again, otherwise Yamanaka.

I'm only reporting what people have been saying in the thread

I wouldn't put Kovalev in either
