      fixed it for you......

So far this is rounding up the top 5....

Discuss on who should stay in and who should be replaced. And please give good reasoning as to why.

I wouldn't argue with that top 5 if it was in a poll.

The Ward Kovalev debate could go on forever. I do believe Kov won but Ward got the official decision so yeah that top 5 looks good to me.

          Frampton for me

I'd say Usyk and Joe Smith jr have had a pretty good year too

lomachenko made the biggest strides. don't think he accomplisehed the most, however.

i'd probably vote andre ward for his W over kolvalev. just taking that fight was a breath of fresh air. pacquiao and mayweather waited until both guys were ready to retire. kovalev and ward fought in their primes and put on a hell of a fight.

I think you have the right 5 fighters to put in the poll here (Frampton, Loma, Smith, Ward, Crawford).

My gut says Frampton right now but I'm gonna put some more thought into it before casting my vote in the official poll when you make it.

I'd say top 3 to choose from would be Lomanchenko, Frampton, or Smith.

I'd say the poll should be (abc order):

                  Terence Crawford
                  Carl Frampton
                  Roman Gonzalez
                  Vasyl Lomachenko
                  Joe Smith Jr.
                  Andre Ward

Everyone else got an insignificant number of nominations. The only other person given love by more than one was Jermall Charlo, but neither of those people (myself included) gave him a nomination. But he did do well in Freedom's FOTM poll for December.

EDIT: So basically my list is just your top 5 + RG, who was nominated by a few posters ITT.

Yeah that's definitely the top 5. If you're going to extend it to 10, I'd include Gonzalez, Pacquiao, Jermall Charlo, Usyk, and Corrales if he beats Uchiyama again. I like it better with the 5 though.

Gotta include Pacquiao if you're gonna include Gonzalez. Bradley was #4 P4P and the #2 ranked WW. It established the lineage at WW. Vargas was the #8 ranked WW.
