Unfortunately Pacquiao never looked the same once being put on the spotlight for drug testing. Once he started to comply with random blood testing - he stopped getting stops. Output decreased dramatically. Losing decisions. Getting KOed.

Meanwhile Floyd was participating in OST testing through USADA and was still able to dominate Canelo. Impressive.

I said Put on the spotlight.

As in the public is now officially aware of failed negotiations over drug testing.

        So since 2011

Great performance by Manny but you have to wonder how his trainer being in his opponents corner, the 145 pound catchweight and the fact his promoter set things up to give his opponent all the advantages affected Cotto in this fight.

Great fight to watch and an excellent performance. Two of my favourites at the time.

Just 18 months prior Pacquiao was stepping up in weight to face Diaz, then that run of Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Margarito started. It was a fun time.

I don’t think the 145 was such a huge deal given that Cotto had already filled out and grown into the division and looked very comfortable at 146 the fight prior. He was 29,30 in the Pacquaio fight.

I thought he was devastating that night and I’d have picked him to beat any Welterweight at that time. I do suspect him of PEDs but to point to “he didn’t KO anyone else” is a bit lazy. Clottey has an iron chin and came to survive, Mosley came only to survive, Margarito was much bigger than him and iron chinned, nobody ever KO’d Marquez or Bradley and by the time of the Rios and Algieri fights he was already well on the downside having been brutally KO’d and having that style of fighting into his mid 30s.

Holy sh-t you are f-cking ******ed.

you can pick and choose when you want to use this excuse. if cotto was affected against pac, so was marquez against floyd.
