I also think that Gatti would give Hatton a lot of problems. The big problem being he will stay in there and trade, i do not think Hatton can take Gatti's punching.
ant this Typical a great fighter has a night off and any1 can beat him now!

Hattons first fight at 147 vs a very stylish southpaw and he beat him which ever we u look at its another win on the record off 41-0.

Hatton would mess GATTI up, i luv Gatti but hatton leagues above gatti.

I'm not saying Hatton isn't better than Gatti I was making an all around point that if Hatton thinks and he said this that Luis Collazzo was strong then Gatti would hurt him really bad. i do not see how u can disagree with that.

I think Hatton would take it but you can't count Gatti and his heart out. I don't know what he could do to Hatton though. What would you say are Gatti's strong points besides his heart and ability to take a beating? He does have some thunder left in the fists so you never know. I would love to see him upset Hatton.

Can't think why some of you guys think Gatti would beat Hatton, it's laughable. Gatti isn't in Hattons league, Ricky would destroy him and to say otherwise is just ******

you have to remember that this was ricky hattons first fight at 147 so dont go saying he cant handle it, he only stepped up in weight for this fight and is going back down to 140. i think hatton would beat gatti in 10 rounds maybe by decision. i also think that both mayweather and de la hoya would beat hatton easily - he should look at cotto for a fight

Agree totally in parts with ppls statements, Hattons got some balls for taking a fighter like Collazo as his first fight after moving up a weight collazo can even move upto 157 pretty gud also he a stylish southpaw who was a real champion at tht weight alot off ppl forget tht u don't beat a boxer like rivera without being pretty gud,

i can remember they type off fighters mayweather faced as his first opponent moving up in weights over the years they where no Collazo ill tell u tht,

PBF took on Jose Luis Castillo in his first fight moving up to lightweight, I would say that is a bigger, harder fighter to face than Hatton had stepping up.

PBF fought Demarcus Corley as his first jr welter fight. No slouch either.

PBF fought Sharmba Mitchel in his first welter fight.

I would say overall PBF has had better competition when stepping up than Hatton. Although your right Hatton didn't chose an easy fighter and should get some props for taking on a fighter who his camp knew he wouldn't look good against.

Are you serious "slaps"? Ward's left hook to the body is as vicious as it can get dude, cmon, if ward had something it was that hook to the body.

Because some of us aren't in England, the same could be said for those who think that Hatton would walk through Gatti, not gonna happen. I'm not saying Hatton couldn't win, but Gatti's still just as big, just as strong, and hits at least just as hard as Ricky does. They both cut, and Ricky has no defense and no jab, so I don't get where Ricky is leagues above Gatti. We've seen that even though Gatti is no great stylist, he can brawl or box.
I haven't seen that from Hatton. I say it's a very even matchup that could go either way, alot of people just think Gatti looks worse because he's not trying to slug it out every time anymore.

it would be a good fight but Gatti's been around for a while, i couldn't say he would win, I would rather see i fight with Cotto
