The Keys to the fight: Daniel Jacobs

I left the wrong word in bold. I was referring to the 'overhand right' to the body, not the body itself. If you rewatch the GGG-Brook fight, you'll see several times that GGG's ribs were wide open when he shelled up. Brook landed to the side of the head which was slightly blocked, but it landed.
The better shot, would've been the kidney shot.
Sometimes I wonder if GGG is another Margarito in a sense that he tells guys to hit him in the face to take the focus off his weak body.
In fact, many strong chinned fighters throughout history lacked in the body. Jacobs would be smart to put in ground work early.
I agree, smash him in the body. Apparently GG has been dropped in sparring from a body shot.
I think your talking about the straight right to the body, as you'd have to be on your knees to throw an overhand to the body.Comment

In fact, Shock and Awe is another military principle. Ironically it was used by Jacobs against Quillin
But if we let you tell it, Jacobs should've never employed the shock and awe principle because he could've been countered by Quillin
As I said before, most people DKSAB. You sir being oneComment

According to you, military principles don't apply to boxing. That theory has been proven wrong over the last 100 years.
Secondly, you told us how Jacobs shouldn't have utilized the Shock and Awe principle and got the 88 second stoppage against Quillin because he could've been "countered".
Now you're telling us Jacobs should use the Floyd Mayweather "pot shot" method against GGG. Not only does that play away from Jacobs strengths, but he's incapable of doing such thing for that's not his style. Furthermore, ask Willie Monroe Jr. That type of style plays right into GGG's hands.
Monroe was at his very best when he fought GGG and went on the offensive, not danced around the ring trying to pot shot him.

Yes look at Monroe and how that ended up going for him did he finish the fight or did I miss something?? Jacobs has a glass chin he won't be in there long if hes throwing a lot of punches point blank facts.Yeah ok buddy. According to you, military principles don't apply to boxing. It didn't work out for Monroe because he has a 26% KO percentage. Of course not. Jacobs has an 88% KO percentage.
Jacobs punch is a little different than Willie Monroe Jr's punch. Of course you didn't know that because you DKSAB

This is gonna be a short ass fight if Jacobs uses this strategy. I got lil faith in his chin & when you bring offense you are extremely likely to be taking some offense back yourself which Jacobs doesn't wanna do too much of vs GGG. But f#ck it I guess you can make the argument that Jacobs punchers chance will be most effective early & potentially provide him with the best chance of success. I mean I'd disagree, but I can see the argument that Jacobs should come strong offensively in spite of his questionable at best & imo not so great chin.
I think Jacobs wants to keep it moving & stick out the jab for the first few rounds. Toss in that uppercut when the distance is closed & the shot is there. But largely mount up some rounds in your favor early along with making GGG work just to get close to you & not allowing him to get off much offense. Then around the middle rounds he wants to sit down on his punches a lil more, but still not stay too long getting into a firefight with GGG. Easy said then done with GGG's pressure, but with Jacobs punch I think he can keep GGG more honest than anyone else with his power.
All that said I don't believe Jacobs to have the boxing IQ to smartly navigate the ring & GGG for as long as he'll need to to get the W, but I suspect that sorta plan would provide him the best opportunity to win.Comment
