This is gonna be a short ass fight if Jacobs uses this strategy

Kell Brook and Willie Monroe best moments during the fight were when they stood their ground and fought. Kell was getting caught more when he moved as oppose to when he stood his ground and tried to make GGG respect him

I got lil faith in his chin & when you bring offense you are extremely likely to be taking some offense back yourself which Jacobs doesn't wanna do too much of vs GGG

You have little confidence in Jacobs chin whether he moves or stays his ground and earns respect, regardless. Jacobs might as well utilize his strength's rather than play into GGG's strength's.

When being pressed, if Jacobs moves around like Geale and Monroe Jr, while trying to pot shot, he's fcuked. He must stand his ground and earn some respect. And when he catches GGG, don't pay attention to the bravado GGG will use (i.e. shaking his head), but jump on his ass and finish him similar to Quillin, Fletcher, Truax, Lorenzo and his other KO victims.

But f#ck it I guess you can make the argument that Jacobs punchers chance will be most effective early & potentially provide him with the best chance of success

I think Jacobs wants to keep it moving & stick out the jab for the first few rounds. Toss in that uppercut when the distance is closed & the shot is there. But largely mount up some rounds in your favor early along with making GGG work just to get close to you & not allowing him to get off much offense

This all depends on GGG's approach. If he decides to hop on Jacobs like Monroe Jr, Wade and Brook, then Jacobs should stand his ground, earn some respect with fierce/sharp powerful punches with precision and earn GGG's respect.

If GGG decides to take the Lemieux approach and box Jacobs starting with his Jab, then this is when Jacobs should use his boxing skills and pot shot GGG and frustrate him with movement and being the better boxer.

It really comes down to what GGG wants to do. Oh yeah, Jacobs must employ the jab to the body at all times.

Then around the middle rounds he wants to sit down on his punches a lil more, but still not stay too long getting into a firefight with GGG

Regarding a firefight, there is no firefight if Jacobs is landing 4 to 1 during the exchanges because GGG will be on his back.

All that said I don't believe Jacobs to have the boxing IQ to smartly navigate the ring & GGG for as long as he'll need to to get the W, but I suspect that sorta plan would provide him the best opportunity to win

If GGG tries to outbox Jacobs, Jacobs will outbox GGG. If GGG decides to bully Jacobs, GGG will be flat on his back.

I honestly think unless a fighter is used to fighting on the back foot and is gifted at it then he should not employ this against GGG. I think he needs to play to his strengths. Of course not follow ggg like a moron like he did with Mora, but the only way for Jacobs to beat GGG is by KO in my opinion.

I think Jacob's best chance is to catch GGG early to the body before GGG begins to figure out the angles and he begins to walk Jacobs down. If he can hurt GGG enough early he has a chance. If he starts going to the ropes within the first 3 rounds regularly it's over....

I think it will be a good fight if Jacob's goes out to win by KO. It's just such a hard task because GGG has God like power AND a chin. I remember watching him eat Steven's bombs like they were punches from Chocolatito.That is demoralizing as hell.

Jacobs can hurt Golovkin but his odds for stopping him suddenly in a single round arent great as Golovkin has shown he can calmly recover and clinch if necessary. So I think he'd have to break him down with bombs over the course of the fight. The best strategy is as a counterpuncher, using his speed and power to land clean shots on Golovkin while staying out of a fight and on the move and with impeccable defense.

And you shouldn't rely on the best moments from Brook and Monroe, because both times it was because Golovkin offered himself up to them inviting an exchange and playing macho instead of boxing. I guess if he has that little respect for Jacobs or if the bums he has fought has made him delusional to how hard a top fighter, his size can hit, then he might give a similar moment to Jacobs and Golovkin could easily regret it like I'm sure he regretted it when Brook lit him up. On the subject though how often has Golovkin been raked by an uppercut? Brook landed like one and now it's Golovkins ultimate weakness.

You need to control GGGs jab to control the range. Jacob's best best is in the midrange. HOLD THE DAMN PHONE whenever you throw a punch because GGG throws that left hook with death on the end. I totally agree on clinching. DO NOT FIGHT ON THE ROPES POINT BLANK PERIOD. Clinch, turn, or check hook. The moment his back touches the ropes he needs to do one of those things.

Jacobs can't try to outbox GGG for 12 rounds, he hasn't shown he can do that at that level and that's the fight GGG prefers, if he's too close i think he'd be safer and more effective than if he tried to be too far.

In close GGG won't be able to load up to generate power and Jacobs can use his speed and also utilize the clinch to neutralize GGG, clinching will be key and he shouldn't shy away from clinching early to neutralize GGG and to wear him down, once it gets late in the fight he can use his jab and try to fight on tge outside a bit with hopes of GGG getting worn out by all the inside fighting/rough housing, then Jacobs might have a chance of GGG losing power and him surprising GGG by a big extended shot.

Right hook left uppercut and jab to the body, these 3 punches will be key as well.
