  • The Keys to the fight: Daniel Jacobs

    • You should be sparring Light Heavyweights and Cruiserweights to get use to the punch
    • Utilize the jab to the body to stop GGG from just walking in
    • When GGG turtles up, throw the right hook to the body and head with max power
    • Be first, use your speed and tuck your chin during exchanges
    • When your back is against the ropes, don't be afraid to clinch. In fact, get comfortable in the clinch.
    • In the event you are hurt, clinch. Clinch again and clinch one more time. Did I mention clinch?
    • Your cardio, neck strength, and ab work must be at an all time high
    • Have confidence and believe in yourself

As long as Jacobs implements the above practices, we'll have a new champ come March 19th.

He will have to fight off of the back foot and try to set traps, his chin will not hold up in a firefight

The best defense is a great offense.

If Jacobs lands with the speed, power and precision I know he's capable of landing with, there is no firefight that ever happens

He's going to swim without getting wet

[*]When GGG turtles up, throw the overhand right to the body

Hmmm... you are either an eccentric genius or an idiot.

If you rewatch the GGG-Brook fight, you'll see several times that GGG's ribs were wide open when he shelled up. Brook landed to the side of the head which was slightly blocked, but it landed.

The better shot, would've been the kidney shot.

Sometimes I wonder if GGG is another Margarito in a sense that he tells guys to hit him in the face to take the focus off his weak body.

In fact, many strong chinned fighters throughout history lacked in the body. Jacobs would be smart to put in ground work early.

When GGG is on a shell, he's open to uppercuts. Brook showed that.

He doesn't have the skill to win that way. He needs a firefight and he needs to detonate Golovkin's chin.

If Jacobs can take the fight inside and keep it there, he greatly increases his chances. Golovkin's most vulnerable there. Use that power, rip him downstairs and take it upstairs.

But GGG is wide open for that uppercut, i have no doubts Jacobs can land his shots..but can he take the shots that comeback??? Neither have much defense but GGG seems to be able to take more punishment then Jacobs

Not a punch I'm familiar with either.

Jacobs really has to open up a bag of tricks to win this fight, I guess.
