"Golden Boy's insistence on paying Golovkin's side a flat fee -- at least $15 million -- while Golovkin's side wants to have a stake, as much as 40 percent, in the event."

Becoming the person everyone wants to see lose and making tons of money off of that. Floyd is where he is financially not because of his fans support (although it for help) but because of all the people that wanted to see Floyd lose because of the way Floyd got under there skin ala mcgregor. Those are the people that made Floyd ****** rich
I agree, he just seems like a douchebag while doing it lol. Check that video out though, its pretty bad, he fights like a 10 year old girl

It's a main event on a pay per view. This wouldn't be like an undercard fighter not making weight then you scramble to find a replacement.

Golden Boy needs to throughly think this through because this could be a disaster.
Good point. Chavez could very likely come in very heavy. That would be a disaster all the way aroung

I was SHOCKED to see them even OFFER that much and even MORE shocked that they turned it down.

$15 million to fight a guy who's never fought at MW and clearly made 154 is last fight... I thought CanYellow was ducking the fight now I'm putting that blame on GGG.

            40% Split!!!! SMH

            K2 Some GOOD SHT!

It is going to be a disaster. This is a LOSE/LOSE situation for Canelo. Just look how much BIGGER Chavez Jr. is????? He wins he drained Chavez Jr. He loses his stock drops and then he'll probably have to GIVE GGG his 40% asking fee.

I see the business side of things and on the business side of things, canelo is ggg biggest fight at the moment.

They countered the offer with they want at LEAST 40%. I don't know what they'll actually settle on but they turned down $15 million and all they have to do is make sure GGG shows up and put him in a car to do some promotional ops before the fight. GB is the one SPENDING the $$$$$ on ALL the promotional sht! Billboards, tv advertisements, renting out space during their tour, etc.

Again SMH. Pac got 40% against Floyd I think but we are talking about PAC NOT GGG.
