If true GGG should take it for sure. But there's definetely more to to this story than just a 15m USD fee. What about options? Rematch clause? Split in rematch? Date of fight? Etc.

There is a lot of things that can make this offer a BS offer. However this 15m story is bound to make k2 come out with a statement as to why it hasn't been accepted.

GGG isn't even worth $15 million, GBP being too generous..the guy is a peasant compared to Canelo if we're taking drawing power..but hey remember Golovkin bashing Canelo for being a bidness man...guess he's also a bidness man as well. .everybody that's giving him a pass for rejecting $15M's would absolutely lose their **** if Andre Ward was to turn down that same offer against him.

...at this point it's clear who's ducking who.

GGG doesn't take orders from the members of this forum. He will do as he and his team think best and tough **** if the GGG haters on here don't like it. For Christ sake quit your crying and complaining about everything GGG does. If were up to some of you GGG wouldn't be allowed to breath air. There is nothing stopping Oscar from offering a fair 60\40 or 65\35 split of the money in Canelo's favor if he seriously wants this fight. When Holyfield fought Tyson a million dollars was worth well over twice as much as it is worth today so it's not a valid comparison.

EXACTLY. There could be escape clauses that make the contract not worth the paper its written on.

But all the "experts" here, who have never negotiated a fight contract in their lives, have decided that GGG should accept it no matter what.

but but but but 8 figures doe!!!!!!

I can assure you of this much: If there was a CLEAN $15 mil offer on the table, no options, no binding rematch language (rematch to be freely negotiated), and no escape clauses between now and Sept 2017, the offer would have been accepted already. A flat $10 mil clean offer, maybe they try to get some upside on, but a flat 15 gets accepted. But thats only if its a CLEAN deal, and obviously this isnt.

Interesting to see negotiations for the Chavez jr/Canelo fight. I bet Chavez Jr is getting a good cut of the PPV revenue cus a flat 5 million dollar purse makes this deal for GGG the deal of a lifetime when Chavez jr is way bigger draw than GGG.

According to Rafael, K2 wants 40% of the promotion. GGG should say F K2 and take this money.

I said it about Jacobs, I said it about Ward and now I'll say it about GGG, the problem with boxing is fighters overestimating their worth.
